Power: Rachel is a telepath. Her main ability is to control autonomic physical responses (breathing, heart rate ect.),in others although she is currently learning how mindspeak and do more standard telepath things. Currently her mindspeaking is fairly limited in range, and is strongest with other telepaths. Her control over her main ability is good and she is quite capable (for example) of causing someone to have a heart attack or stop breathing. Or conversely, cause someone to start breathing, or to prevent a heart attack. When she isn't paying attention, or is asleep, people in her immediate area tend to feel their breathing syncronizing with Rachel's.

Personality: Rachel is friendly and outgoing, although she has a temper to match her red hair, and can hold a grudge. Her personal relationships tend to be friendly and physical rather than serious and romantic, but she generally treats her partners well.

Description: Rachel is 5'9 and slender, with red hair and blue eyes.

Background: Rachel was raised in Mesa, Arizona by a single mother. Rachel's mother had her while she was young and her father was essentially out of the picture from the time she was in kindergarten. Money was tight while she was growing up, but by the time she was a teenager they were fairly comfortable. When she was 16, she got involved with a creepy, controlling jock. One night a disagreement turned physical and she lashed out blindly with her power. The boy collapsed and didn't recover until Rachel was removed from the area. Because of the extenuating circumstances, she was sent to the Institute of Tomorrow for her education. There she learned to control her power, although it wasn't until she started college and began to work independently with a telepath that she started to learn to communicate mind to mind, develop an avatar and other things that involve higher brain functions. After two years of studying biology (which in turn helped her to understand and use her power better), Rachel transferred to XU to improve her telepathy and with the goal of joining an X-team.
