November 2 - This dinner isn't tense at all.

[Michael Asters]

Cassiel braced himself for the reply as they walked up to the restaurant.

[Jubilation Lee]

"What the FUCK!" Jubilee almost shouted "She must be out of her fucking mind!"

[Michael Asters]

"Well, you took that much better than I expected," Cassiel said dryly.

[Jubilation Lee]

"You're damn right I'm not taking this well! What the fuck did she mean about working out the details? You said 'no' right?"

[Michael Asters]

Cassiel winced. "I wanted to ask you first. She's looking for a donor, and there aren't exactly extensive mutant sperm banks available for use."

[Jubilation Lee]

"So? Why can't see ask Dom to knock her up? Or Sergei? Or anyone else who is single. Plus, in case you missed it, we agreed to be monogamous, not 'monogamous unless you have to get your latest babymamma pregnant'."

[Michael Asters]

"She asked me to donate sperm, not knock her up," Cassiel pointed out. "And forgive me for flattering myself, but I'd like to think that I'm a much more attractive prospect for a donor than the others."

[Jubilation Lee]

"Well, yeah. I can totally get why she wants you to get her pregnant. Its just.....you're supposed to be getting me pregnant."

[Michael Asters]

"And the two are mutually exclusive... why?" he asked. "Look, I haven't told her 'yes' or anything yet. But I don't want to dismiss this out of turn. She wants to have another baby, and I fit whatever criteria she's using. I can't find any faults in her parenting skills, besides decisions that I'd hopefully be able to discuss with her."

[Jubilation Lee]

"Yes, but knowing you, you'll want to invest time and energy in the kid, right?"

[Michael Asters]

"True," he answered, nodding.

[Jubilation Lee]

"And that is time and energy that will be taken away from me, and from our child."

[Michael Asters]

"I'd like to think that I'm capable of splitting my time without neglecting anyone," he said, slightly indignantly.

[Jubilation Lee]

"Yes, assuming that this isn't some sort of plot on Binary's part to steal you."

[Michael Asters]

"All right, if that's her hope, she's going to be sadly disappointed."

[Jubilation Lee]

"Damn straight she is." Jubilee said emphatically "Still. I don't like the idea of you starting a family with someone else before you start one with me."

[Michael Asters]

Cassiel considered this. "What would make this all right for you?"

[Jubilation Lee]

"I'd like to know that you're committed to me, and to building a life and a family with me, before you start trying to get Binary pregnant. I think that for me, that'd mean us living together, and having a baby on the way."

[Michael Asters]

Cassiel nodded. "All right. Do you want to start looking for a place on Monday?"

[Jubilation Lee]

"A place for the two of us, or a place where we have room to expand?"

[Michael Asters]

"Room for expansion is probably necessary, unless we want to move again," Cassiel answered, smiling a bit at her.

[Jubilation Lee]

"Cool." Jubilee said, and then paused, searching his face "You're sure you're cool with starting sooner rather than later?"

[Michael Asters]

"Babe, I just found out that I started a good nineteen years earlier than I'd planned. I think that it's too late to start worrying about timing," he chuckled.

[Jubilation Lee]

"A very valid point. Still, I don't want you to feel cheated out of 'us' time."

[Michael Asters]

"And what would be more quality time than making a child together," Cassiel reasoned.

[Jubilation Lee]

"It is kinda hot, isn't it?" Jubilee said, smiling at him wickedly.

[Michael Asters]

"Oh, extremely," Cassiel said, matching her smile.

[Jubilation Lee]

"In that case, my current shot will wear off in about two months, so we can get started then."

[Michael Asters]

"And until then, practice makes perfect," Cassiel agreed with a smirk.

[Jubilation Lee]

"However shall we manage?" Jubilee asked dryly.
