October 31st - Tony Stark's Ballroom

Postby Talia Fawnsworth » Tue Aug 11, 2009 1:14 pm

Talia came without a date to the big Halloween party. Her costume makes it hard to recognize her; a hand-tooled leather mask conceals most of her features, though her distinctive hair and eyes are still visible. Added to this are a leather bodice and gauzy skirt, both adorned with autumn coloured leaves. Around her waist is a length of cord wrapped several times, ending in a pair of glowing orange spheres about the size of tennis balls. The outfit is completed with a pair of heeled boots, high enough for impact but still low enough to dance in.

For the moment, she is mingling with some of the society elite, though her gaze does travel out to the dance floor with longing glances.

John escorted Ayami out onto the dance floor.

"Did I mention I love Halloween?"

Sometime after he'd left with Kathrin, Tony came back down to the ballroom alone, a self satisfied smirk plastered on his face.

Spotting her host apparently free for the moment, Talia makes her way over with a light step. "Tony, so good to see you again. Fawnsworth, Talia Fawnsworth," she adds, having had some personal experience with Tony's memory for the names of attractive women he's met.

John looked towards Stark as well.

"Father met him once at a business conference... said he was clearly a genius, if flawed."

"Nice to see you again, Talia" Tony said, leering in her direction "Would you care for a drink?" he asked, snagging two glasses off a passing tray and handing her one.

"But of course." She accepts the glass without a second glance and sips, "So what brings you to our shores this time?"

"I have considerable interests in the UK, and I like to check on things in person. Plus, it seemed like an excellent time to show my support for the new university."

Ryan, on seeing Tony return sans Kat, made his way past with Misty. "Just long enough to spread the cheer, right Uncle Tony?" he asked dryly. He liked Tony a lot more than his father did, but the one thing that always irked him was when Tony decided to nail a girl his age, especially one that he knew.

"Put it better than I could," Tony laughs and claps Ryan firmly on the shoulder, "Well, maybe not better, but certainly more succinctly. And who is this delightful friend of yours?"

Jayda watched the dancers swirling across the dancefloor, the people mingling around the edges, all in costumes outlandish and exotic.

"I wonder if we will meet anyone that we won't recognise because of their costume?"

His gaze drifted in Mr. Stark's direction.

Marcus stayed around as well. A rather loud grumble was probably in earshot of Rick as Marcus went on the search for some sort of refreshment table or servers that were passing out appetizers.

Marcus returned, victorious, carrying a large plate with an assortment of different items. He brought just enough that if Rick wanted to try some get he could. Otherwise, he had no problems finishing it all off himself. He smiled at the small group, elated now that he had found some food and started to eat some of it.

"Hm. This place seems like a networking dream for some of the business majors at our school."
