X-Team Lobby: Late Team Signups

[Zero]

"I've been known to hit the club scene from time to time," Zero says.

[Zoe Walker]

"Awesome! Do you have a page up on XUNet yet? It seems to be the tool of choice for planning parties."

[Bryan Bridges]

BB walks back up to the group. "Sorry to butt in again."

"I'm BB," she says to Zoe. As she speaks, she floats her finished application into the document slot.

[Zoe Walker]

"Hey BB, I'm Zoe. Pleased to meet you and all that."

[Zero]

"I don't have one yet, but I'll be sure to set one up," Zero says, "Everything taken care of, BB?"

[Kelly St Luc]

Kelly felt a little left out becuase he did not know what a XUNet was, "What is an XUNet?" He addressed Zoe but also anyone who could answer as well.

[Zoe Walker]

"It's Facebook for mutants, basically. Profile pages, interests, photos, songs, that kinda thing. Social networking for freaks and geeks," she finishes with a grin.

[Kelly St Luc]

"Oh, that is cool. Maybe I should get one. How much does it cost?"

[Zoe Walker]

"It's free, it's mainly supported by X-Corp I think."

[Kelly St Luc]

"Oh that sounds really cool. Where does one find a computer around here?" Kelly had worked out a technique of type that allowed him to actually type with out ruined the keyboard. It was He pressing one button at a time with one finger.

[Zoe Walker]

"The libraries have some computers and there are dedicated labs. Plus, y'know, laptops are pretty cheap, especially if you're on student aid or something."

[Kelly St Luc]

Kelly shoke his head, "Wow, more things to buy. I was just going to stick to good old fashion paper and pencil."

[Zoe Walker]

She lets out a good laugh at Kelly's 'joke', "Yeah, I can see how using a pencil and paper has worked out real well for you. Seriously, hit up the campus bookstore, they have all kinds of deals and stuff. You can probably even get a voice-activated computer so you don't mangle the keyboard too badly, they have interfaces for all kinds of different mutations."

[Kelly St Luc]

Kelly nodded at Zoe's suggestion and pulled out a map from his back pocket.

"Where is that again?"

[Zoe Walker]

"Uh, I think the main one is in the Admin building, but there's at least one satellite in the north part of the campus. I think, I kinda spaced out during the orientation."

"Anyway, I should get going, I wanna give some of the obstacle courses a shot in the danger room thingy. Catch you later! If you wanna get a hold of me, friend me on XUNet!" And with a friendly wave, she heads off to the change room.

Sept. 7

Later in the day after talking to Anita and seeing the Danger Room, Kevin grabbed a sign up form and took a seat to fill it out.

[Zachary Flint]

"It's good to see I'm not the only one all late about this." Zachary said as he reached the booth where the sign up sheets were. He skimmed it over first, just looking for any details that would stick out.

[Kevin Gravis]

"Yeah, I just got here two days ago and just now decided to sign up."

[Zachary Flint]

"That's cool. Honestly, I wasn't really planning on it at first but if I'm needed, they'll take me, if not then, oh well. My name's Zachary by the way. I just got here a few days ago too."

[Kevin Gravis]

"Kevin. Codename: Lionheart."

[Zachary Flint]

"Lionheart? Sounds like you're some sort of warrior. Just what gives you that code name?"

[Kevin Gravis]

He calls forth one of his glowing swords next to himself.

"That."

[Zachary Flint]

"Whoa. That's wild. Wait, is that how they first appeared to you?"

[Kevin Gravis]

"Yep, as a sword. Weird huh?"

[Zachary Flint]

"Very. More cool than weird though." He stared at the Codename spot. "I guess I'll make my codename Replay. Sounds like a good one."

[Kevin Gravis]

He un-summons the sword.

"What's the power behind that?"

[Zachary Flint]

"I'll show you." He said as he lifted a hand and placed it box that held the sign-up forms. He closed eyes, focusing his power on Kevin so that he'd be included. He opened his eyes then which were now nothing but pools of white. Time seemed to stop suddenly then move backwards. It wound down, freezing on when Zero first started filling out the sign up sheet, then started to play.

"This is what happened a few days ago." He cut his power off right around when Zoe entered, figuring that was a long enough demonstration as time seemed to fast forward back to where they were. His eyes returned to their normal color.

[Kevin Gravis]

Kev whistled.

"Coooool."

[Zachary Flint]

"It's useful to say the least. I could make some serious money working for some tabloids." He filled out the sign up sheet and put it in the box.

[Kevin Gravis]

"Very useful. A shoe-in for an investigation team."

He put his in next.

[Zachary Flint]

"So there is one of those?" Oh joy.

"We will see what happens." He smirked. "Anyway, I think I'm gonna go grab some food."

[Kevin Gravis]

"Alright. See you around then Zach."

[Zachary Flint]

"Later." He nodded then left for the cafeteria.
