Debriefing - Investigation Team

[Domanic Taylor]

The Investigation debriefing is scheduled for after the Security debriefing. Again, an email has been sent to the whole team, but only the Team Leader is required.

[Rick Ferguson]

Rick walked in first, nodding in acknowledgement to Dom while waiting for anyone else to show up.

[Domanic Taylor]

"Tornado, good job grabbing that middleman."

[Zoe Walker]

Slick makes her way in with the rest of the team, interested in seeing how the debrief plays out.

[Rick Ferguson]

"Thank you, sir. He didn't give us way too much trouble. At least, not for a first mission I suppose."

[Chloe Grant]

Chloe came in as well, and took a seat.

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria was next in, giving Dom a little smile before taking her seat next to Chloe.

Lumis smiles at Victoria.

[Merle McClintock]

Merle wheels himself in. He's got a fresh set of bandages over his leg. He's smiling a little.
"I hope we have that bastard in irons."

He begins texting an email to Lumis.

I'd like to keep it informal, but Victoria V applied too much pressure while dressing my wounds. I think it was a malicious thing but I have no idea how to deal with it.

Gonna leave the details on the injury vague for now, they'll be more defined when I do the nurse scene.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Oh my god, could you possibly milk a stab-wound more than that?" Victoria said in a disgusted voice as Merle wheeled himself in.

[Rick Ferguson]

Seeing that most of the team was present, Rick decided to continue.

"Via telepathy, we were able to discover that the man behind the recruiting was Mr. Finn. One of his would-be empoylees entered the pub the information was gleaned from, and I had some of the others trail him. Fortunately, he went to Finn's warehouse, and we found the man himself. He's pretty feisty, I'll admit. But Victoria, Merle and I were able to finally subdue him. Not without some injuries, of course."

Rick smirked at Victoria, but said nothing.

[Zoe Walker]

"You could, but then the seepage would start again and we'd have to worry about the stains on Lumis' amazing couch."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Good. Just so you know, I'd like to offer you the chance to interrogate Mr. Finn. You don't have to, if you don't feel you're up to the challenge. But you caught him, so he's yours to interrogate. Otherwise, we'll have one of the faculty telepaths trawl his mind."

[Rick Ferguson]

He nodded a bit. "I can certainly try, sit. Just have one of the telepaths ready on back-up," he said with an honest smile. He had definitely never interrogated before.

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis smiles just a little. "No worries. Mr. Finn will be a guest of this University for a little while yet."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria shifted in her seat, trying not to look overly excited at the prospect of interrogating someone.

[Rick Ferguson]

"Good. I think with Victoria and Harold, we can probably get a lot out of him."

[Domanic Taylor]

"What we need are a couple of specific pieces of information. Who his superior was, and where the operational base for this effort is."

[Rick Ferguson]

"Yes sir. We'll look into it."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Is there anything else about the investigation that I should know now?"

[Rick Ferguson]

Rick shook his head. "No, I believe that covers everything."

[Domanic Taylor]

"The investigation is not over, but we'll be breaking the team down into smaller units. For now, all you need to do is interrogate Finn, and I'll issue new orders to you, or to the new Investigation team once we've processed the information."

[Rick Ferguson]

Rescructuring, hm? "Understood, sir."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Anyone else?"

[Zoe Walker]

Zoe shakes her head in the negatory and idly cracks her knuckles.

[Harold Marks]

"Don't suppose the Security teams managed to find out anything we need to know before we start tuning this asshole up?"

[Domanic Taylor]

"Not much beyond the fact that payment came with conditions, so there was some fairly specific plan being orchestrated via the men who went in to attack Mutant Town. No doubt Finn knows the details of that too."

[Harold Marks]

"I'm not sure how specific a plan we can expect out of a guy who still considers himself IRA. Stable, he's not."

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis shrugs. "Eh, that happens a lot to people in military organizations, moreso to men in underground militaries. If you probe the mind of a retired British military officer, you'll find that he identifies at his former rank."

[Harold Marks]

"Point taken."
