A Thread for Breakfast

A bit early in the morning, Emily headed into the cafeteria for breakfast. She got a plate of fruit, some toast, and a cup of coffee from the line and then headed to a random table to sit down.

Brigid for her part seems to have a big day planned. She's already seated with a loaded down tray that's fairly heavy on meat, though eggs and toast are present.

She's wasting no time in getting into it, as well.

Vertie moved through the line, she was being more restrained in her choices. She smiled at Brigid as she made her way over. "Morn'. How ya doing?"

Haley looked like she hadn't slept well in days and mumbled something unintelligible to the table as she sat down with her breakfast.

"Not really...stupid burnt cookies and homework morning runs..." she mumbled.

Haley looked like she'd gotten punched in the jaw, but tried poorly to cover it with makeup, and her left arm was covered in a bandage.

Brigid curls a lip as Vertie snatches food from her plate, her wolf rearing up for a moment before she restrains herself. It almost seems... bigger?

"...get your own," she says, playing it off.

"Well. She decked me, but that was after I said some shit that was honestly kind of out of line..." she said, thinking back.

"Her psychic avatar looked kinda crazy. Like she'd been out in the woods or was a stabby hobo. That was weird."

Haley at this point had a mouthful of cereal, and was regarding Brigid's reaction curiously.

"It's just a couple scratches," she said through her mouthful of cereal, "you okay Brig?"

Haley swallowed her cereal, quirking her eyebrow at Brigid.

"Just fell with a glass mixing bowl in my arms, sorta landed on it. Bled like crazy, and hurts like a bitch, but nothing like. Weird. Why the hell would she scratch me?"
