Tue 16th - Both Of Us Half-Damned

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid, still on her original trajectory, clings to the trunk as Mini-Murphy falls.

"Heads up!" she calls to Steph.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa meanwhile is trying to keep the winds around Murphy going and hoping Murphy isn't as injured as she's afraid she is.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Steph didn't like hitting her students, but when they were armed and trying to kill one of her best friends, she made an exception. She leaped into the air to try and meet the girl in the air and bring her to the ground, hopefully either knocking the wind out of her, or actually knocking her out in the process without seriously injuring her.

[Jean-Louise Murphy]

Unfortunately, hitting the ultra-dense Murphy might be a bit more painful then Steph expected. She did manage to knock the wind out of Murphy at least.

"Hurft!" Murphy says.

She also dropped her bow on the ground.

Brigid shinnies down the tree quickly, and dashes to scoop up Mini-Murphy's bow.

Stephanie yelped in pain as she hit the ultra dense mini Murphy and then hit the ground, landing on top of the girl. She scrambled to try and flip her and put her into a sleeper hold.

As that was going on, Theresa might notice that Murphy had started to grow even larger. It was starting to become a real struggle to keep her trapped in the wind and it wouldn't be long until the werewolf broke out.

"Guys! She's getting bigger! I can't hold her for much longer!" Despite her prediction, she tried anyways, trying to expand the cocoon. Doing that started ripping leaves and small branches loose, spinning them around the the vortex as well.

[Jean-Louise Murphy]

"Have...to....weaken curse..." Murphy tries to get out as she's being choked by Steph. "Seal...bracelet..."

Murphy was wearing a silver bracelet. It had runes carved into it!

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Brigid! Get this bracelet off of Murphy and let's figure what the fuck it does!" Stephanie grunted, restraining Murphy.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid nods, tossing the bow out of Mini-Murphy's reach and going to pull the bracelet off the girl.

It's easy enough to get the bracelet off of the rapidly going sleepy Murphy. Figuring out what to do with it? That might be a bit trickier.

The bracelet was a thick piece of hammered silver. There were several runes carved onto it, but they only sort of resembled Nordic runes. There was something slightly off about them.

"Okay, I've got a crazy idea," Brigid mutters, taking the bracelet and running towards the whirlwind that's holding Murphy aloft. She's aiming to try to get on Murphy's back and climb up to where the big shaggy one's head is.

[Hannah Murphy]

Murphy snaps her jaws at the flying branches circling around her. She catches one and chews slowly. The wood cracks and crunches in her jaws as she continues growing.

Everyone in the immediate area would also start feeling vaguely hungry unless they had some way of blocking low-level psychic influence.

[Brigid Plunder]

Grunting as she tries to keep a hold of Murphy's fur as she climbs, Brigid looks for an opportunity to pull the arrow out of the wolf's eye.

Mini-Murphy was looking disturbingly appetizing to Stephanie...her grip tightened slightly and she inhaled her scent deeply before she dropped the girl in disgust and horror at what had just been going through her mind.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa's hands dug into the Earth tighter as she gritted her teeth. She felt the hunger, but started drawing on the earth more to suppress it, just like she was using the connection to sublimate her body's need to hurt. She tried to adjust the winds a little bit to make things easier for Brigid, but she couldn't do a lot.

Stephanie staggered back from mini Murph, clawed hands pressed to her head and her fangs bared.

I don't. Eat. People. I don't. Eat. People.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Get it together, Felana! I need a meatshield!" Theresa yelled at Steph.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie looked at Theresa...rather hungrily.

[Hannah Murphy]

Murphy tried to shake Brigid off, but without leverage this was easier said than done. As Brigid grabbed the arrow shaft, Murphy howled in pain.

[Brigid Plunder]

Not having much time, Brigid pulls the arrow out, trying to press the bracelet to the wound once it's clear.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa spares Steph the briefest of glances, "Don't think I won't lightning bolt your ass, Steph." As if for emphasis the air in the clearing starts rumbling ominously. She could, of course, be bluffing.

[Jean-Louise Murphy]

A coughing Murphy sat up, she looked at her wrist and her eyes widened.

"The bracelet!" Murphy shouted, looking desperately around at all the chaos. She spotted Brigid crawling on her sister and tried to get her attention.

"You have to trust her!" Murphy shouts at Brigid. "Like the story! If you don't trust her completely, it won't work!"

[Hannah Murphy]

Murphy screeched and a sharp gnawing hunger suddenly swept through the area. The wound sizzled and burned as the silver bracelet touched her eye.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Then what do I do with it?" Brigid winces, withdrawing the bracelet from the wound.

[Jean-Louise Murphy]

"Put it around your wrist and put your hand in her mouth!" Murphy says.

"...I realize that doesn't sound like the best plan right now!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"...it's better than hurting her more!"

Far from having heard the worst idea of the day, Brigid slips on the bracelet.

"...I know you don't really want to hurt us," she whispers to Murphy's ear

Then, she shoves her hand in the wolf's mouth, surely to get chomped off.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie remained locked in place, glaring hungrily at Theresa and mini-Murphy, every muscle in her body tensed.

I don't. Eat. ....people....

She growled. She was so. Hungry. Murphy's words seemed to snap her out of it a bit.

"Gi....give me the bracelet--I at least have a chance to regrow an arm!" she shouted as Brigid plunges her hand into Murphy's mouth.

Shit...

[Hannah Murphy]

There's a blinding flash of silver light and suddenly Brigid and Steph are grappling with a human Murphy who looks very surprised and confused.

For the purpose of not trying to figure out the physics of this, we'll assume that magic made it so that their hands aren't still stuffed in her mouth.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid does the most natural thing now that there's not a giant shaggy throw-rug to hold on to.

She falls off in a bewildered heap.

[Jean-Louise Murphy]

"Oh. Good. It worked," Murphy says.

[Theresa McMasters]

The winds immediately die as Theresa lets them go and the flotsam from the whirlwind falls to the ground. She slumps noticeably with her fingers still buried in the dirt. "So glad that's over."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Steph fell to the ground, panting. "Did...did she bite you both?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"...what?" Brigid asks, groaning as she slowly sits up.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"You were both bleeding when I came in here. Did she bite you?"

[Hannah Murphy]

"What happened?" Murphy says. She sounds worried. "Theresa?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"I... I don't know," she grumbles. "There was a lot of crap going on, Steph."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'm good, Murphy," Theresa said, a small lightning cloud crackling between her fingers as she cleaned up what blood had made it to the ground. "Just scratched, I think, Steph, but things were kind of a blur."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie shifted back to human form, though she didn't seem to make it fully there, her eyes still a feral yellow.

"Murphy. You....weren't yourself. Even more than usual."

She looked to the others as she pushed herself up from the ground. "Scratched or bitten...you...might want to not make many plans next full moon just in case..."
