Lighthouse Assault, Go!

[Haley Crusek]

Haley dropped into a crouch and then jumped up to try and again blast through the barrier and get to the door.

A bolt of lightning lanced down a "safe" distance in front of Graham accompanied by the following boom of thunder as Theresa tried to divert him.

[Graham Jaeger]

Graham started and felt his other half begin to panic but he fought it back.

"Haley! Do that thing to her cape again!"

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Hearing Graham she looked over and saw Haley. " Caledfwlch, daw allan ac yn helpu fi, dal y plentyn." The waters rose up and moved towards the girl, quickly weaving itself around her feet and legs.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley roared and tried to form an expanding sphere of force around her to keep the water from getting to her.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

Hearing Graham she looked over and saw Haley. " Caledfwlch, daw allan ac yn helpu fi, dal y plentyn." The waters rose up and moved towards the girl, quickly weaving itself around her feet and legs.

Kara stops her assault on Vivienne's water shield for a moment to take the time to aim both of the ribbons at one spot to try and drive them through the shield like a spike and hopefully proceed to rip the shield apart from there.

"Vivienne, fall back inside!" Theresa called out, pushing herself further back up in the air.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Aye!" Vivienne shouted back and stepped back as the ribbons pierced the water, but got forced upward with the movement of the water. As Vivienne withdrew the water shield did as well, shrinking to fill the doorway and to pool on the concrete floor. "I can not call the waters from in here." she called as she ran up the spiral stairs. "What I have will have to suffice." She joined Theresa, wearing her full water armor.

[Brigid Plunder]

Deciding she doesn't like the look of those defenses, Brigid starts scaling the sloped stone outer wall of the lighthouse.

"I can get you more water if you need it, but I think we need to let second line handle things for a bit and catch a breather," Theresa said, the glow in her eyes dying as she settled onto the staircase and headed up to the base.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

Meanwhile Kara uses the same trick as before to breach the water blocking the doorway, this time prepared to fight the current of the water and ripping the water apart. "Haley, you follow Brigid up, Graham, you're with me." she says, running inside.

Graham was about to try climbing himself when Kara did her thing. He ran in after her.

"Nice moves back there."

[Maya Mills]

Trap! Heavy blue smoke swirled around the two as Maya launched her attack!

[Kara Vanderbilt]

Kara is about to thank Graham when she stumbles into a dense cloud. Coughing she tries to spin her whips around to try and disperse it, but it's getting hard to concentrate.

[Jennifer Newgate]

Jennifer is standing on the stairs, just staring.

"Time to take a nap... So sleepy, just curl up and go to sleep... relax and pass out..." she projects at the people in the cloud to help Maya, channeling that feeling of rolling over for just five more minutes.

[Maya Mills]

Maya stays on them and keeps herself swirling around them.

Oh god, oh god, please, please, please, just go to sleep.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley ran towards Brigid and floated up the side of the tower along side her.

[Graham Jaeger]

Graham had instantly shut his mouth and held his nose. However, Jen was making his plan to grab Kara's arm and rush on through difficult and his progress was increasingly sluggish.

"Ha... ley... st...stop Jennifer..." he thought as loud as he could manage.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley picked up Graham's thoughts faintly. "Shit. They have Jennifer trying to put them to sleep," she called out to her former roommate climbing with her. "I don't know if I can stop her or not."

Haley wasn't good at multitasking like this but she had to try, reaching out to her teammates and trying to fill them with adrenaline to counteract the feelings of sleepiness.

[Graham Jaeger]

Graham woke up enough to redouble his efforts to push through the mist. He'd have to inhale soon, so he didn't have much time.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

Kara lashes out, trying to knock Jennifer down but her whip is off target and glances off the railing of the stairs.

[Graham Jaeger]

Graham tried to rush forward and get close enough pull Jen into Maya's sleep gas.

[Jennifer Newgate]

Jennifer apparently did not expect that. Not that she could put up much physical resistance either way, so she ends up stumbling into the cloud when Graham yanks on her arm.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley continued to rise alongside Brigid, trying to conserve her strength.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Is there any way you can like... put a 'somebody else's problem' field on us?" Brigid whispers to Haley, peering in one of the windows about halfway up the tower.

[Haley Crusek]

"....I can try," she said trying to think about exactly how she'd do that. "Yeah...worth a shot. They seem busy in there with the front door anyway..."

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa was coming back down the stairs to check on something and she passed by the open door to the room that Brigid was peering into. She didn't seem to notice them as she turned around and started to head back up.

[Haley Crusek]

"Maybe it's working then..." Haley said, sounding a bit distant as she tried to just project a feeling of unimportance around her and Brigid."

[Maya Mills]

Seeing her friend thrown around just seemed to piss Maya off. Her entire body mass started swirling around Graham, tendrils of smoke trying to force their way into his mouth and nose.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

With the cloud lifting in favour of strangling Graham Kara manages to pull herself together and grabs Jennifer, spinning her into a solid hold.

"Maya, let him go." she demands.

[Graham Jaeger]

Unfortunately for Graham, that was precisely when his capacity to hold his breath gave out. He started to cough uncontrollably as his body struggled for air.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid meanwhile continues climbing, nearing just below the railing at the top.

Theresa appeared on the top level of the lighthouse, moving to another section of the railing and looking down, trying to keep a lookout for another wave of attackers and missing the girls about to come over the railing.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne was watching the stairs. The water from her "helm" formed into a sphere between her hands as she waited.

[Barbara Kirby]

Barbara was also watching the stairs. That was essentially the only thing being guarded at the moment.

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid waits until Theresa is on the opposite side of the lighthouse before gripping the railing and flipping herself up and over it. She crouches down, trying to continue keeping herself opposite Theresa until she can come to a door inside.

Haley kept close to Brigid continuing to project an aura that seemed to be--so far--keeping others from noticing her or Brigid.

[Maya Mills]

Maya kind of....wasn't stopping with the choking.

That probably wasn't good.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Maya, stop!"

[Maya Mills]

Maya quickly reforms, the smoke quickly disappearing. She looks angry.
