"I imagine I will eventually. Bottling it up can only set me back," he said, though it sounded more like a therapist talking through him.

"Well that sounds familiar."

"I take it that offer included you."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I've had my fair share of counseling to deal with some things, yes."

[Sergei Tereshchenko]

"Considering what oddities this school deals with, I'd actually be surprised if some of you hadn't."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not everything comes with crippling trauma."

[Sergei Tereshchenko]

"Not all therapy is about extreme cases. I had mandatory counseling after several rather gruesome investigations, but that's nothing you want to hear about."

"It takes a lot to ruffle my feathers, but that doesn't mean I enjoy it." she nods.

[Sergei Tereshchenko]

He stepped ahead to hold the door open.

"After you."

At that moment he was grateful for the opportunity to hide his growing conversational awkwardness behind old-fashioned manners.
