Sept. 5th: Heart to Heart (Gemma's Room)

[Anika Sloan]

"Does she have a different name from you?"

[Gemma Sloan]

"She likes to call herself Ignata, but I think that's mostly pretension. She's me, whether either of us like it or not."

[Anika Sloan]

"I like it. It's cool you've been able to get this far with things, Gemma. It really is. I'm proud of you. It's a complete transformation, really."

[Gemma Sloan]

Gemma smiled at the praise. "It was a lot of hard work and I still struggle with things. And when I struggle, I apparently wreck motorcycles and blast flame all over my sister."

[Anika Sloan]

"Bah. Details." She said with a grin. "Better me than someone else, right?"

[Gemma Sloan]

"True, which means she was probably aware that you'd be okay."

[Anika Sloan]

"Well then, let her know if she feels pissy for whatever reason, I don't mind a tossle. Keeps me out of trouble really. But it's best to do it somewhere less...flammable."

[Gemma Sloan]

"I try to avoid fire... it tends to just make her angrier. I'm better at reining her in than I used to be, but still."

[Anika Sloan]

She gives a shrug. "Suit yourself. The offer still stands though."

[Gemma Sloan]

"I'll keep it in mind. They did teach me a little self defense. Part of the whole 'going dragon' not being an appropriate response to all situations."

[Anika Sloan]

"No shit? Hell, we should spar some time. It'll be like bonding all over again."

[Gemma Sloan]

"Only if you promise not to pull my hair."

[Anika Sloan]

"That's a dirty move. I promise I won't do that." She holds out her pinky.

[Gemma Sloan]

Gemma wraps Anika's pinky with hers while also looking to see if Anika is crossing her fingers behind her back.

[Anika Sloan]

She's not. Apparently she means it.

[Gemma Sloan]

"Best to do it in the Danger Room though, just in case. Wouldn't want to go rampaging across the grounds again."

[Anika Sloan]

"Aww, that's no fun. But fine. I guess you're right." She smirks and nudges her. "You always have been, you know that?"

[Gemma Sloan]

"Can I have that in writing?"

[Anika Sloan]

"...now let's not get too far ahead of ourselves, sis." She smirks.

[Gemma Sloan]

"It was worth a shot."

[Anika Sloan]

"Mhm. I gotta head down to this Danger Room I keep hearing about. I'm wondering just how much fun can be had with it. You busy? Or you wanna pop down with me?"

[Gemma Sloan]

"I need to finish up some stuff here. I'll take a rain check though."

[Anika Sloan]

"No big deal. You owe me." She winks at her and gives her a quick hug. "It's good to see you again." After she realizes she's showing her soft side, she clears her throat and straightens up. "Anyway, I'll see ya later, yeah?"

[Gemma Sloan]

"Definitely," she said, returning the hug.

[Anika Sloan]

"I'll see ya then. Behave." She gives a two fingered salute and heads out the door.
