Orientation - He Ain't Heavy (open thread)

The Estate's meticulously kept gardens, including a hedgemaze that students have occasionally described as "sadistic" and a sizeable rose garden. Benches in shaded spots are plentiful, and the gardens are popular to study in on pleasant days.

"Sounds more like I should try to see if they want to play fetch or something, not spooky." she chuckles.

"I dunno. Octopuses always struck me as bein'... angry. All the time." He rubbed his nose a bit.

"You can't talk to sealife, can you?"

"Good practice for the real thing. Someone told me that you're never more than sixty miles from the ocean in England, so there's lotsa chances for a trip to the beach. I guess it's pretty lucky that the school is here and not in, like, Chad, or something."

Victor laughed, leaning back a bit in the process. "Well it's gotta go somewhere. But at least now you know, so if you ever find yourself there you won't be tempted to take a dip."

Victor looked a little surprised. "Wait... you can breathe under water?" He asked eagerly. "I thought maybe you could just hold your breath, like a dolphin or something."

"Yeah, just not restricted to a board. Though there are some pretty good party games that do act like board games, they're fun with a group of friends." He rubbed the back of his head a bit. "Wow, I sound like such a dork, talking about board games and stuff. Sorry."
