Orientation - Salvage Operation

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah, it's all pretty normal stuff like no booze and such."

[Anika Sloan]

She nods to Kay. "Sounds like it. So how long have you two been here?"

[Kay Haddock]

"About a year now."

[Allison Rogers]

"I was hired late last fall. I came from X-Corp's legal department."

[Anika Sloan]

"So you're the lawyer, huh? Do you guys like it here?"

[Kay Haddock]

"It's amazing. I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else."

[Allison Rogers]

"I won't lie and say it hasn't had it's rough spots, but it's a good place with a lot of good people. And I've got some close friends here."

[Anika Sloan]

"So it's not so bad then? Hm...what does it take to be accepted?" While she listens she pulls a pack of cigarettes from her pocket. As she opened the pack, she realized about half of them were burnt from the whole fire issue. "You gotta be kidding me..." She mutters, then pulls one of the ones that's in tact out looking to Allison and Kay. "It cool to smoke here?" It was a bit of a silly pun, but she couldn't help but smirk to herself.

[Allison Rogers]

"Outside, yeah. Come by my office tomorrow and we'll get the paperwork squared away. You're obviously a mutant, so you're already well on your way to acceptance."

[Anika Sloan]

"Alright, deal." She straightened up and gave them both a wave. "Thanks for the help, both of you. I won't forget this. Consider me to owe you a favor." With that, she heads out the door and snaps her fingers, lighting up the cigarette. Suppose it's better than that shitty motel.
