After about 10 minutes or so Ashlie comes back.

"Of course we do. I hesitate to point them out, however, because you seem to loathe being compared to non-biological things." she seamlessly picks up the conversation as she pours some kind of powder into Will's bucket.

And yes! People's opinions very much define reality. If Professor Quinn had decided you were just a tool, she could have, I dunno, reformatted you."

Which is to say, I would have fought for control of the servers in order to survive. You are letting Black Air's actions affect the subjective reality of how you see yourself. Why?"
