I13DT: Headlights

The Estate's meticulously kept gardens, including a hedgemaze that students have occasionally described as "sadistic" and a sizeable rose garden. Benches in shaded spots are plentiful, and the gardens are popular to study in on pleasant days.

I13DT: Headlights

Stephanie, out for a walk on campus smiled warmly at the new arrival. "Everything okay?"

Graham jumped ever so slightly as he looked to her.

"Y-yeah," he said, quickly collecting himself, "I just... haven't seen a mansion in person before."

Stephanie smiled, "it's only stuffy looking. I can promise you that all of the inhabitants are pretty laid back. I think I saw a memo about a new student...Graham?"

She approached and held out her hand, "I'm Stephanie. I'm a university student and one of the power control instructors."

He returned the handshake.

"That would be me. So they let college students teach here?"

"You're a feral shifter too?" she asked. He might get the slightest sense that she was almost...a predator.

Likewise she might sense prey.

"You can tell?" he asked, instinctual nervousness bleeding into his tone. He sniffed. "Because... you are?"

She smiled cheerfully, telling her wilder side to pipe down. "I am. Wolf shifter. Don't be nervous, I don't actually bite."

She smiled, her eyes a still-unnerving feral yellow for a moment. "Sorry. Wilder sides can't be helped sometimes..."

"Better than a rabbit," she smirked. And try as her human half might, it was still downright unnerving to Graham.

Both tasty... her other half growled in the back of her mind.

"It will help you indulge your wild side with less risk of getting shot by a hunter. Speaking from experience here...spent a few months in the Canadian backwoods and wandered a bit too close to a farm while with a wolf pack..." she smirked.
