Something Kay had said had finally clicked with Miranda. So she'd loitered in the Astral outside Sam's office, respecting Sam's boundaries in the same way Sam had respected hers. Her bow was out, but she had no immediately visible arrows. It was unclear how she expected this discussion to go. A telepath of Sam's caliber could probably detect the latent sword construct unformed on her avatar's back.

The astral ravens grow more frequent as Miranda approaches the office, and now there's quite a few of them perched near where the door would be, physically. A few of them seem to take notice of her, and a moment later the headmistress' avatar rises out of the office.

"Bit of an unconventional way of meeting. Something's troubling you, isn't it?"

I don't trust Mom's evaluation of your... other side. She's completely sold on how awesome a thing it is. I'm not sure I agree with her... yet.

An image shimmered into being. It was Miranda's sketchbook open to the page with the picture of her avatar with glowing eyes and the bloody sword. Mom thinks it might be part of some dark part of me. Like I said, I don't know what to think yet.

I'll go with mostly unhelpful. Especially viewing other locations. That's particularly unhelpful. My 'visions' have almost the same relevance as an episode of a television program: occasionally nice to watch, but lacking in any usable information.
