I can guarantee you he'd love to feel like you're comfortable with him shifting, and I can't guarantee you you'll find the right combination of words to convince him otherwise. He's clay--normally really malleable and easy to work with, but when exposed to harsh conditions, rigid, fragile, and set.

I'm not saying you WON'T find some way of convincing him, but I really think it's the hard way."
