"I think I'll avoid irritating her for the time being, but I'll be sure to file that away."

"I don't think I've been hexed to date."

"I have my reasons, hexing not among them."

"That's good. One ought not live in fear of a stray malocchio."

"I don't think she gives stray ones."

"Voice of experience?"

"Just my reading of her."

"Then I'll be a responsible adult and not dare you."

"It's good that at least one of us is responsible."

"Heavy burden, I know."

"Although you did agree to go out with me, so I'm wondering just how deep that responsibility actually runs," she teased.

"So far, the only danger hasn't been your fault."

"Either you're harmless, or slacking off."

"Why can't it be both?" She sobered a little, "Speaking of danger though, I have an appointment in court on Monday. Would you have time to come watch my back?"

"...think it's perhaps not proper courtroom attire to show up in armor, isn't it?"

[Allison Rogers]

"Unfortunately, it's not proper. But it'll be family court, so the room will be relatively small. I just need someone to watch my back while I focus on the judge."

"Given your special friend's taste in tech, I might be able to get us an early warning."

[Allison Rogers]

"Any early warning you can give will be helpful. I'll be wearing my training stuff under my suit so I can shift if I absolutely have to."

"You'd think he wouldn't be this brazen, but he may be getting desperate after the restaurant."

"I don't know that he is, but my name's been on the docket for several days. I have to assume his goons have seen it."

"I'll rig up something a little less ramshackle for having ASHLIE on standby."

"Thank you," she said, giving Dee a big fuzzy hug.

"...mind the ribs," she grunts, smirking.

"True. Wouldn't want to break you," she said, smiling as she let Dee go.

"You'd have to explain to the infirmary that you're a hugger. People would talk."
