This room was simple. There was a bridge, over a pit. A deep, deep pit.

The bridge had no railings, nor was it wide enough for more than one person to walk at a time.

On the other side was another set of stairs going down.

Victoria sighed, then cast out a minor spell to check for traps or triggers to make the bridge fall.

Victoria would be almost immediately overwhelmed, as whatever mystic senses she was using would light up like a Christmas tree. The bridge was covered in touchplate triggers, although some of them might be decoys or dummies.

Victoria shrieked in surprised pain, clutching at her head as she fell back from the bridge. She crouched on the ground, eyes squeezed shut, rocking back and forth as she murmured something in some language over and over, trying to get her mind clear of that particular experience.

The only thing out of the ordinary Bear could see was a plaque on the other side of the pit. At some point, it had fallen over, and was lying face down on the ground.

Bear tried to look through it with her x-Ray vision, unsure she could get a good angle to read the sign.

"I'll go," Victoria said, still not standing up. "If something bad happens on the bridge, I've got about the best chance of figuring something out to not fall down the bottomless pit."

Would be nice if that levitation spell wasn't such a drain.
Or if Strange would loan out his cape.

No guarantee that something here wouldn't smother my magic anyway.

"Right. So let's see what this bridge has for us," Victoria said. Taking it slowly, she set one foot onto the bridge and began her way across.

At first...nothing happened. That was good, right?

Then, as Victoria began to inch her way forward, the entire bridge began to tilt to the left...slightly at first, but then faster, and faster, and faster...

By lunging forward, Victoria could in fact hold on to the rotating bridge.

This did not stop the bridge from rotating.

This, actually, suited Victoria just fine. She held on once it started getting too far toward dumping her off and just settled in to wait for it to come right side up again. If she had to keep waiting like that to run again to clear the whole bridge, so be it.

Victoria's strategy, though slow, would work! The bridge kept going faster and faster as she got futher and further, but patience proved to be a virtue.

The issue was, it KEPT spinning at that speed, even when Victoria reached the other side.

"Oh for the love of god..." Mizuki walks up to the edge of the rotating bridge, scrunches up her face in concentration for a moment and then reaches out to grab the bridge and hold it in place.

The bridge was stable!

However, the further Bear got, the more and more force was being exerted. Mizuki and John were going to have to really strain to keep it straight.
