Laura was killing time in the Danger Room while she waited for the tutoring session that Sam had managed to squeeze in for her. She looked uncomfortable in the training outfit, but was making the best of it.

She shifts quickly into an uncanny likeness of Laura. Then she takes a breath and begins to alter the shape. Taller, broader, almost ogre-ish.

Laura begins to follow her, pushing her size up trying to match Sam's growth. She doesn't manage it though and after a bit, she seems to be straining to hold the shift right where it is about three-quarters of what Sam has.

She scales down to slightly smaller than where Laura is straining.

"It's just..." she says, relaxing and shrinking a little. "I don't know. The first bit is easy, but the bigger I get, the more I have to push to keep getting bigger."

She moved around with the expected grace for someone her size. At the very least she managed not to trip over her own feet.

She starts slowly growing.

Laura started growing again as well, meeting Sam's slow pace. "Not as bad going slower, but still like ice skating uphill."

"Okay." After about a minute or so of quiet concentration, she snaps back to normal in a process that would probably be disturbing to anyone but Sam. The process of reverting isn't uniform with the head and torso returning to normal size before the arms and legs follow. "Oof."

The headmistress reverts to her own natural form, kneeling down by Laura.

"Are you alright? Need a moment?"

"We're not going to push that hard for the whole session, but once per session I'd like us to try something like that, if it's alright with you. We'll only try to hold it longer once you get comfortable with it."
