I13DT - She was an American girl

The site of the recently restored Braddock Lighthouse. Aircraft hangars and other X-Men facilities, including a Cerebra unit and the Danger Room have been constructed around the foundations of the lighthouse.

I13DT - She was an American girl

Postby Janice Gilbertson » Wed May 21, 2014 6:53 pm

Janice came bopping up the stairs towards Will's office, wearing a pair of headphones, but not her glasses. She wasn't dressed quite in her usual style. Nodding her head to some unheard beat, she knocked on Will's office door.

Janice dances on in, still bobbing to the beat.

"Heeeeeeey," she says, "what's uuuuuup?"

It isn't... quite a horrible American accent. It just isn't certain what she was going for. Is she a surfer? A cowgirl?

"Yeah?"

"Look Will, I was just thinking, y'know, that we should do something... dude."

She gestures for emphasis.

"We should, like... go skateboarding," she improvises. "I could catch you. On the flippity flop."

"...California, late 80s, right? You don't need to actually do the lingo thing, you know, but if you do..." Will said, reaching into the bottom drawer and pulling out a cassette tape, of all things.

"Accent tapes. Got 'em for my acting classes. Southern California is probably the closest I have to what you're going for."

"Look you!" Another Janice came barging into the office, this one dressed more normally. "Sorry about this, Will," she said as she started tugging other Janice away.

"What are you..." She says in surprise, keeping up the fake accent. "No, you're going to ruin everything!" She struggles against the other Janice.

Will nodded...and lunged! His body expanded and he jumped over "RoboJanice", attempting to envelop her completely within his clay!

"Yes! Embrace your true love, Will Stan-Ton! My circuits are ready!"

"Bloody danger room," Will swore, encircling Janice as a big ball of clay, attempting to cut her off from the outside. "Don't worry, I think I've got it now."

"What happened?" he said, swiveling his 180 degrees to face the "other" Janice.

"You'll want to be careful with it, I'm sure they'll want to take a look at it," she said, managing to hide her reaction to his strange head rotation. "Was just doing a training simulation against myself and the bloody thing went on the fritz."

There's an involuntary gasp at the squeeze, followed by a muffled "Ow! Bloody hell!" Then a pause. "Er... ERROR, ERROR."

Will paused for a moment, eyebrow raised.

Inside the clay sphere, Janice would suddenly find herself poked and prodded by a half-dozen hands.

"Janice, will you come over here and give me a hand? Don't want to have to roll all the way over to the labs, you know," he said, casually.

Within the sphere there's squirming, and the occasional "Eep!" and "Gerroff!"

"OK, on three.

One.

Two...."

And before Will could get to three, he rolled straight for "Janice", planning to envelop HER in the clay, as well! Drag 'em all to a secure location and sort it out, that was his motto.

"Well, then, looks like I can skip lunch," he joked.

Inside the clay sphere, eyes appeared on the outer wall, investigating the Janice, looking for discrepancies.

And the amount of space between the girls and the outside of the sphere began to get smaller, and smaller, and smaller.
