"Men are always looking for that. My brothers were doing it all the time."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"And then you whomped them?"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"In a manner of speaking. They underestimated me all the time. Still do on occasion."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Then they are fools."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I wouldn't go that far. They're just... brothers."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Is that not the same thing?"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"Some people think so. I don't."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Are your brothers mutants, as well?"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"No. They're my adopted brothers."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Oh? I am sorry, I did not mean to pry."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"No big deal. I love my adopted parents and my brothers. They've always taken care of me, even when I started phasing through floors."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Must have been awkward."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I think mother worried I was going to get stuck between floors. But yes, it was kind of awkward."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Did you ever get stuck? Not just between floors, but in general?"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I once ended up in a locked room and couldn't my power back on. And there were some days in high school that I ended up phased out for most of the day. But I've never gotten stuck in a wall or anything. I doubt I'd be around to talk about it if I had."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"And now, you do not get stuck?"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I think the last time was two or three years ago."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"So good. Practice makes perfect!"

[Rowena Mohsen]

"It does indeed," she said, folding up the last of her clothes. "What about you?"

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Me? I have never been stuck in any walls," she smiled.

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I imagine there's few walls that can stand in your way."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Yes. That IS something I have used to have troubles with. But you learn, don't you."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"Life is all about learning."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"It seems to not be so for some of the idiots in charge."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"In charge of the school or in charge in general?"

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"More the latter, but wait long enough and the former will happen too, probably."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"The former won't happen if the people currently in charge do their job and pick the right people to succeed them. The latter is the case because people pick lousy folks to be in charge."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Cronyism and corruption."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"All over the world," Rowena agreed.

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"A side-effect of greed and avarice. Capitalism at it's worst."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"It has its problems, but communism didn't work about particularly well for the Soviet Union."

[Anastasiya Volkoff]

"Difficulties of scale, that is all."

[Rowena Mohsen]

"I'm not prepared to argue the fine points of it with you unfortunately. That's one of the reasons I'm here."
