I don't know how to go out with a girl and we mostly just hung out and did the stuff we usually did..." she ends by mumbling into her cup.

Kay nods and then is quiet for a while, looking like she can't really come up with any specific questions. Or if she can she's too embarrassed to ask them.

"Going for the deep philosophical question first, I see," she smiled, sipping at her coffee as she thought. "The line, at least to my way of thinking, is somewhat blurry there. Someone you'd be in a relationship with should be someone that you would also like is a friend. If they're not the sort of person you'd want as a friend, then they're really not the sort of person you'd want as a girlfriend."

"Welcome to secondary school. Come for the education, stay for the drama. It is stupid, but when you don't have a job or something to worry about, it gives you a lot of time to stress over relationship stuff. But to be fair, some hurt is unavoidable if affection is one-sided."
