I12DT: Coffee & Spiderwebs

[John Hino]

The morning after meeting with Nailah, a groggy and haphazardly dressed John trudged into the student kitchen for a much needed cup of coffee. He had bad dreams all night long about spiders eating everyone he cared about. Yay him.

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear entered, skipping the refrigerator and heading to John.

"You.. Don't look so good." She began, with a smile, but hesitatingly.

[John Hino]

John looked at her and immediately felt all the worse for not keeping her in the loop.

"Shit... I never told you did I?"

[Byrna Cooper]

"I've heard.. Things. Bits and pieces. Want to fill me in on the complete picture?" She asked, firmly.

[John Hino]

"I really hope all you heard was precious little. Gossip could be... dangerous."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Then turn the gossip into what's really going on." She replied, again firmly.

[John Hino]

He sighed.

"The thing in my dad's head was a Japanese spirit creature. It was there to deliver a warning from one of my ancestors..." he said before recounting the details of the message.

[Byrna Cooper]

"Then, we need to go set things right. And you need to claim one heck of a giant baseball bat to do it."

[John Hino]

"Preferably before they start killing my family," he said with worry.

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear nodded, solemnly.

[John Hino]

"My best chance is to locate this Japanese wizard, but unless I get lucky with a facial recognition search I have no idea how to do that."

[Byrna Cooper]

"Hmm.. I'm not sure. We might need to talk to an expert."

[John Hino]

"I already talked to Professor Weaver, which is how I'm sure this isn't someone's sick joke. She's willing to help if I can't find him."
