I12DT - Raid Night

[Trev Anderson]

Trev sat in the common room at one of the small tables usually reserved for games or studying, his laptop in front of him, a gaming mouse and keyboard attached to it, wearing a headset with a mic.

"...Alright. We're going to give this another attempt. Are we all clear on what we need to do?....yes...save Hero for phase 3....okay. Ready check is good to go. Tanks, set a pull timer and let's do this. And if you stand in fire, it is your own fucking fault that you died, not mine. I don't have mana to waste on your stupidity."

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa wandered through, looking for someone, but she stopped when she heard the conversation Trev was having. Taking a quick stab, she said, "Well, if a certain priest would call heals like he's supposed to, it wouldn't be stupidity." She grinned.

[Trev Anderson]

"Oh, no, I can't possibly have situational awareness and be distracted from doing my rotation. That would make me not be at the top of the meters. Call out when I need to move please!" Trev smirked, furiously spamming something on his keyboard.

"Is that you....Theresa?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"In the non-warlockian flesh. Trev?"

[Trev Anderson]

"That's m--" he was cut off by a klaxon of some sort blaring from his headphones, and his screen flashing red.

"Stack on star, stack on star! Need big heals!" he said frantically, tapping buttons and sitting on the edge of his chair.

"Oh, god fucking dammit, Jax!" He growled into the mic. "Seriously? Ugh....what? No. No. No. Okay....lets call it this week. Five wipes in a row for sloppy, sloppy stuff, and not a bit of improvement. Let's regroup Wednesday, and try this again. Please, please, please read up on the fights so we can clear and get into Heroics."

Trev peeled off his headset and smiled at Theresa. "Fancy meeting my favorite blogger here. How's life?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Improving. Sorry I distracted you. I know how crappy that can be."

[Trev Anderson]

"I was fine. My dps team on the other hand..." he smirked.

"We could use a new lock, if you're bored. And I only yell when people are stupid, and I'm sure you aren't," he chuckled.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I appreciate it, but you're a dirty Alliance. I'd never live it down."

[Trev Anderson]

"I thought I smelled Horde stink," he scrunched up his face.

"How's Mutant High treating you?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"I've had better times, but it beats normal high school, home school, or juvie, which were my options."

[Trev Anderson]

"Yeah. It's rougher for you guys than it was for us with the MRA. But it'll all work out. Some of my best memories ever came from being at school."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I've had some pretty sucky ones since coming here though, but things are on the mend."

[Trev Anderson]

"You'll have plenty of those too," he admitted.

"Just remember to learn from them and that more good's coming."

"...fuck, when did I start sounding like an old man?" he laughed."

[Theresa McMasters]

"If I had to guess, it was when you became one."

[Trev Anderson]

"Damnit," he chuckled.

"So what are you up to tonight other than finding shitty raid leaders honing their craft?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Looking for a friend of mine. Don't know why she'd be in here, but I've looked other places, so I thought I'd at least check here."

[Trev Anderson]

"Yeah, just me. Everyone seems to be off doing something tonight. It's been very quiet--you're pretty much the only person I've seen."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I don't come over here much," she said, looking around. "Never have much reason to."

[Trev Anderson]

"Not too much of a difference from high school, except you get a bit more privacy. There's still drama, and the classes are harder," he smirked.

[Theresa McMasters]

"My roommate's hardly in my room, so I have a reasonable amount of privacy, but yeah, I've heard the rooms in here are nicer."

[Trev Anderson]

"I'm gonna grab a can of pop from my room, so you can see first hand if you like. Want anything?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Sure. What do you have?"

[Trev Anderson]

"Mountain Dew, Coke, and probably a few energy drinks," he said standing up and stretching.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Oh, Dew, definitely," she said. "So you actually read my blog?"

[Trev Anderson]

"I do," he said starting to head towards his room, which wasn't far from the common room.

"And I tell all of my guild to do the same. You've got some great insights, and you're a good writer."

Trev opened up the door to his suite and propped it open with a doorstop, heading into his bedroom and returning with two Dews. If she'd followed, Theresa would notice a room plastered with fantasy posters on almost every inch of wall, and a shelf more full of D&D books than textbooks.

"I like crunching the numbers," she said, looking at the bookcase before taking her Dew and popping it open. "Not as retentive as some of the people to do, but I make sure I at least list my assumptions."

[Trev Anderson]

...we should probably go back to the common room before Chris Hansen shows up...

Trev cracked open his can as well, noticing her glance at the bookshelf. "If you ever need tabletop RPG books, I'm happy to lend them out. I had almost my whole collection shipped here," he chuckled, making a move back towards the common room

[Theresa McMasters]

She notice the move and followed, "I've never played before. Didn't have a lot of opportunities to do so."

[Trev Anderson]

"It's fun. And way less creepy than going onto an RP server in the game," he smirked.

"My first character got made on an RP server. I logged after my night elf Druid got hit on by every male character in the inn in Goldshire and never looked back,"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Psh. Wuss," she chuckled. "That's what you get for playing Alliance."

[Trev Anderson]

"I thought I smelled Horde stink," he smirked.

"You play much else? I could use a worthy opponent on this continent."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I dabble in RTS, but it's only dabbling. The skills from one don't translate well to the other."

[Trev Anderson]

"Well sounds like we'd make a good match. I'm atrocious at RTS games," he chuckled.

"I'm playing with my buddy Charles, and I've got like three workers and I'm working on my first warrior and he swarms me with ten airships. I don't know how people move that fast."
