Well come pick me up then ^_^  Where are we going for dinner?

At that, there was a knock on Haley's door. "Well, there's a little place that's supposed to have a great view off the shore," he said when she opened the door. "I can eat anything, but I think they need to get the Texan seal of approval."

[Haley Crusek]

"I think so too," she grinned. She still looked extremely worn out, but she'd gussied herself up quite nicely, and looked pretty happy.

"So...when's my show?" she winked at him.

[Calvin Strong]

"Welll, it'll take a little more arranging, since I make a point of not letting anything with an active camera on it into my bedroom," he reasoned, 'innocently.' "Besides that? Whenever you want..."

[Haley Crusek]

"Well get to arranging then," she grinned, grabbing his hand.

[Calvin Strong]

"Maaaaybe after dinner if you're good," he teased, squeezing her hand as they headed down the hall.

[Haley Crusek]

"Good? Where's the fun in that?"

[Calvin Strong]

"Well, everyone thinks I'm a supervillian. So let's just say that I might not take a traditional view of 'good,'" he joked as they headed out to the shuttle.

[Haley Crusek]

"Touché," she smirked.

As they waited for the shuttle, she pulled out her phone, reading something and idly letting her mind wander--subtly sharing with Cal--to things that made her little show seem rather tame.

[Calvin Strong]

Cal coughed and blushed. "Okay, now you're being a tease," he said.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley grinned mischievously as the shuttle pulled up in front of them.

"No idea what you're talking about," she said, stepping into the shuttle and taking a seat.

[Calvin Strong]

Cal chuckled, taking a seat next to her. "I'm sure it's just my imagination getting away from me. Y'know, being crazy and everything."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley giggled, leaning her head against Cal's shoulder as the shuttle pulled away from the school.

She promptly fell asleep against him.

Cal wrapped his arm around her, letting her snooze for the trip. He glanced out the window every so often, but mostly paid attention to the sleeping girlfriend.

"Last chance to go back and sleep," he said, smirking, when he shook her awake at the stop at the other end.

Haley jumped and squeaked when she woke up.

"Oh Jesus...sorry," she said sheepishly, wiping her mouth where she'd almost drooled on him.

[Calvin Strong]

"Heh, it's all right," he said. "Drool on me all you want, I'm waterproof."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley smirked, hopping up and getting out of the shuttle. "No comment."

"Where are we headed? This is only like my second or third time in town."

[Calvin Strong]

There were benefits to having GPS and google maps in your head at all times. "Let's see... right up the street here, toward the shore," he said. Though whether it was obvious that it was toward the shore was a bit debatable, as Haley didn't have a mental map of the place.

"Lead the way," she smiled, taking his hand.

[Calvin Strong]

Cal took her hand as they headed up the street toward the restaurant.

During which he seemed to miss the place as he was, strangely, distracted by a passing ice cream truck.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley barely noticed, in a bit of a daze.

"Much further and ill make you carry me," she smirked.

[Narrator]

The ice cream truck turned down an alleyway.

Sinister!

[Calvin Strong]

"Huh? Oh, sorry, it... didn't look like the picture on the website," he lied. "Sorry. That building back there is the one we want," he said, taking her back to the last door. Keep it together, Cal.

[Haley Crusek]

"Oh. Okay," she smiled. "Do I look okay?"

[Calvin Strong]

That, of course, made Cal smile a lot. "You're beautiful," he said, holding the door open for her.

[Haley Crusek]

"Pfft. Whatever, I'm ugly."

Haley walked in, a smile on he weary face.

"Okay. It smells amazing in here. I think we're off to a good start."

[Calvin Strong]

They were seated by the window, and it really did have a great view. Cal had (of course) already planned ahead for his order, so he let Haley peruse the menu, ready with what he'd gleaned from the reviews of the place and the comments on the rating sites (but only if she asked).

Little by little, as she looked over the menu, his gaze drifted back out the window to the town. Suppose I can map that route down that street... maybe watch it to see if it gets repeated another time...

[Haley Crusek]

"Amazing seats--and what a view," she beamed behind her menu, assuming her boyfriend was just admiring the view out the window.

"Hear anything about their ribeye and smashed potatoes?"

[Calvin Strong]

"What?" Cal asked, his head snapping back. And, of course, he quickly replayed what she'd said. "Oh, sorry, they're both good," he said.

[Haley Crusek]

Haley smiled happily at him. "Okay. That was easy then."

She folded up her menu and set it down. "I'm a lucky girl. This is so sweet of you."

[Calvin Strong]

His head snapped back to the table again. "Well, you deserve it. I... know I was putting you through a lot of shit for a while there. And the time before. And the time be- you know what? I think you get the idea."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley giggled. "Shit happens. It's okay. You're too great to give up on that easy."

"Wish we looked old enough to get wine without them being a pain in the ass. Maybe soon my TP will be good enough that I can make it not a problem."
