"And I only want to maul you." Chloe said "Usually."

"And it's that 'usually' combined with the fact that you don't even seem to shift voluntarily that gives you the 'scariest power' crown."

"I do so shift voluntarily!" Chloe said, offended.

[Melody Martens]

"So you're saying that you've *chosen* to turn into a dinosaur when we fight. That's worse than having an accident."

"I didn't want to get blown up, now did I!"

"At no point before you turned into a fucking dinosaur did my powers come out, or did you have any reason to think they would," she spat.

"why wouldn't you use your powers?" Chloe asked "It isn't like you could take me without them."

"Bitch, please. You're the one who has escalated every fight by turning into fucking Barney with claws and fangs."

"Because I don't fancy being blown up." Chloe said "Not because I needed to."

[Melody Martens]

"Why the fuck would you think I'd blow you up? My powers only came out when you shifted into a fucking dinosaur and tried to eat me."

[Chloe Grant]

"Because using your powers is the only way you'd not get your arse kicked."

[Melody Martens]

"Against a dinosaur? Yes! One on one? No powers? You wouldn't stand a chance. Which is why you always turn into a dinosaur. Because you'd never be able to handle me otherwise."

"Bollocks."

"Then why haven't you fought me without shifting, bitch? Hrm?"

Melody rose, scowling at Chloe.

"But you know what? You're not worth fighting anymore. I actually give a shit about being here, and being an X-man, so I'm walking the fuck away before I do something I regret."

She started to head towards the door, but Chloe was almost directly in her path.

"Go ahead, walk away." Chloe said.

"You're not worth my attention, and never were," she spat, continuing towards the exit.

"Try not to eat anyone today, Barney."
