"You mean just by using it?"

"Kinda-sorta. Using and holding. I've tried to explain it before; unless you've done it, you don't really know what it's like."

"Usually if I'm holding my power, I start getting really warm. It's not really a rush."

"When your body converts radiation, it just follows, I guess."

"That just sounds dangerous."

"So do most of the other abilities people talk about around here. But you learn to live with it," she said.

"I suppose we don't have much of another choice, do we?"

"Unless we'd be willing to wear one of those collars for the rest of our lives, then no I don't suppose we do," she nodded. "But maybe that's a bit... fatalistic?"

"I've had enough of THAT for one year, I'm afraid."

"Then I suppose we go the other way. Enjoy what our abilities can do and have fun with them."

"IT's a difficult horse to get back on, after being thrown off. And trampled. And dragged several hundred feet."

"Well, so long as the doctors say you're well enough to be back in the saddle, then I say get back on the horse with enthusiasm."
