Who put this building here?

[Trini Thompson]

Raven walked proudly up to the second floor of the Admin Building, and knocked on Nailah's door.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh goddess..." she mumbles to herself.


"Come in."

[Trini Thompson]

"Professor, I need you to do a favor for me, please. It's very important to the safety of the school."

[Nailah Weaver]

"What is it, Raven?"

[Trini Thompson]

"I need you to put this on....I suppose that bookshelf, over there."

'This' was a jar, well sealed, filled with some kind of not-immediately identifiable dark purpleish liquid with chunks floating in it.

[Nailah Weaver]

"First of all, why? Second of all, what is this?" she asks as she accepts the jar from Raven and holds it up with thumb and middle-finger, looking at the contents.

[Trini Thompson]

"First of all, because this building is in a VERY inconvenient location, and I don't know what they were thinking building it here. Second of all, it's some holy water, some sage, some chunks of quartz, various salves and creams...the like."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Yes, how silly of them. What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this?"

[Trini Thompson]

"There is an evil spirit afoot. Surely, you must have sensed this."

[Nailah Weaver]

"An evil... Oh you mean Regan, don't you?"

[Trini Thompson]

"I do. She is more than she seems, Professor."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Really, you noticed that?" she says, sounding a little surprised. "She has some trouble we are trying to help her with. Aside from her charming personality that is."

[Trini Thompson]

"'some trouble' would be putting it mildly, don't you think?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"We try not to worry other students unnecessarily. We're aware she has somewhat of an evil taint to her. We're looking into finding a solution to it that doesn't escalate things."

[Trini Thompson]

"And you think having her around is not going to cause things to escalate? Uh, hello?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"We're not turning our back on someone who needs help and we're not exorcising her until we know for certain that Belasco no longer has a claim on her soul." she says, putting the jar down on her desk. "We have plenty of students who have the potential to escalate most situations. It's one of the founding principles of this school that we don't just send them away."

[Trini Thompson]

"I'm saying she's not a student; she's a trap. You've had those before here, right?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"And you'd be willing to sacrifice her? Because she didn't ask to be a pawn in this."

[Trini Thompson]

"How much do we REALLY know about her? Spirits can lie."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Enough to know that she's in over her head herself."

[Trini Thompson]

"Maybe she's just lulling you into a false sense of security."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Miss... Raven." she catches herself from being too mean to the 'witch'. "Please refrain from banishing other students. No matter how annoying they are."

[Trini Thompson]

"We're not talking about annoyances here, professor. You'll notice I haven't tried to banish you."

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah just gives her the post polite smile while staring at her. "What has she done that caused you to do this then."

[Trini Thompson]

"She hasn't done anything, yet, other than lie and evade."

[Nailah Weaver]

"And you want to preemptively get rid of her."

[Trini Thompson]

"I'm not even sure it's properly described as a her."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Didn't you complain not too long ago about your beliefs not being respected? And now you are here questioning someone's status as a person?" she asks, telling herself over and over that snatching that ridiculous hat and tearing it apart would be utterly unprofessional and uncalled for.

[Trini Thompson]

"I'm saying you're taking a LOT of what she says about her past on faith, Professor."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Duly noted. Now please come back when you have an actual issue with her and not just indignation over something you suspect to be there."

[Trini Thompson]

"...Fine, professor. I think I have all I need from you for now."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Always glad to be of service."
