"...I don't think so, Professor...I think that would probably be a rather poor idea..."

"If you feel I'm not being fair here, by all means speak up."

[Will Stanton]

"I'm just saying...or, rather, not saying...it's a little odd for you to talk about...doing things openly," he said, uncomfortably.

[Sara Stanton]

"There's a middle-ground between hiding something and flaunting it."

[Samantha McManus]

"And if I recall, you weren't exactly comfortable with how open I'd been with things."

[Will Stanton]

"No, that's true..."

[Samantha McManus]

"But you're missing a key word here: balance."

[Will Stanton]

"It's a difficult thing to balance. You, of all people, should know that..."

[Samantha McManus]

"I do, I just feel you're hurting yourself letting the pendulum swing too far."

[Will Stanton]

Will sighed. "I suppose..."

[Samantha McManus]

"And while I could manually rewire things to work a bit easier, I think what's best for you is to find what feels right, to do this more naturally."

[Will Stanton]

"I suppose. I guess you know best, professor..."

[Samantha McManus]

"But you've still misgivings, aye?"

[Will Stanton]

"You're the telepath," he said, with a wry smile.

[Samantha McManus]

"I don't really want you to bottle those up either, aye?"

[Will Stanton]

"Honestly, whatever it takes to stop imitating the hit parade is probably a good step."

[Samantha McManus]

"Then my recommendation? Commandeer the Danger Room for an evening, invite a few friends..."

She grinned faintly.

"...and be a rock star for awhile."

Will smiled the shadow of a smile.

"We'll see what I can do. Feel free to keep the rest of the burritos -- you're supposed to give offerings to pagan gods, right?"
