Regan's Ring: Training Day

[Regan Rourke]

Regan glares at Victoria for a moment.

"...Fine," Regan says, "Ever hear of the Gloomy Sunday Club?"

The scenery changes to a teenager's room.

"It's a website forum," Regan says, "For mutants looking to commit suicide."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria just sighed, as if nothing anymore about Regan could surprise her.

[Regan Rourke]

"I met someone on it," Regan says, "We were supposed to meet in the woods."

"That's why I was out there."

[Victoria Valentine]

"All right. Going to need this lovely person's contact information."

[Regan Rourke]

"It's an internet forum," Regan says, "You know how those work, right? I didn't know a thing about the guy."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Yes, but you had to have some sort of contact information. I'll need your account information, too."

[Regan Rourke]

"Whatever," Regan says, taking a piece of paper off her desk. She scribbles down two usernames ('SunshineSparkles' and 'DanteisDead') and matching e-mail addresses, "Here."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria sighed as she read it. "Cute username. Very you," she mused.

[Regan Rourke]

"Sunshine Sparkles was what I named my dog when I was four," Regan says, "He was my best friend. But thanks for making assumptions."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Yes, well, pardon for it being difficult to recall from your behavior that you're capable of giving a damn about anyone. I thought you'd be pleased that your little act is working."

[Regan Rourke]

"I am," Regan says, "But it's not worth it unless you use it to make people feel bad about themselves."

Victoria had Regan running some simple drills designed to help her get better control of her form. Right now she was supposed to be concentrating on shifting her clothes at will.

So far, she had succeeded in making her socks a slightly lighter shade of black.

And even then, it was arguably just the light.

Regan sighed in frustration.
