Here, in my lair! (oh god, this is the best lair I have...)

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

At this point the cube seemed to go back to its previous musical endeavors. Nothing else seemed to be observing her. Although there were six computer towers in the corner (with obviously no interface devices or monitors) currently running, they all seemed to be running various programs, and didn't have any method of monitoring the room. Similarly while some of the various handheld devices she could detect in the room did work (to some extent), none were currently turned on.

Ashlie would find one point of entry on one of the towers, apparently the central unit that delegated tasks to the others. What she could tell just from looking at what WOULD be readily visible to anyone walking in if a monitor had been hooked up was that three tasks were broken down among the other five. Two were running various internet data-mining programs. One was apparently an assisting unit, which was there solely to gain entrance to secure systems for the first two. The last two were running data processing programs, sorting the data into several categories. The main tower took instructions from Cal, relayed these directives to the other five, and reported back results.

Two notable things could be taken from this without prying deeper.

First was that the system-breaking unit didn't appear to have a very high success rate... however, its success rate was far enough from zero to make one wonder what Cal had gotten.

Second, they were not running their searches on the school network.

She tries to gain access to the data-base to see what kind of data he's been downloading.

It would take some doing, but Ashlie would manage to get a peek at some of the more lightly encrypted databases.

There were collections of technical designs, basically any reverse-engineering of Stark tech or comparable things that he could find, anything that wasn't easily found with basic internet searches (like wiring diagrams or engine designs would be). Some were obviously used for the power staff design thus far. There wasn't much that could be told of his intent from the collection, the programs seemed to grab and label any design that they could get ahold of.

There was also a decent database of programs, and anything that would be useful for a cyborg to have access to in his head seemed to have been examined, scoured for malware codes, and prepped for upload. Notably, there were several hacking programs that seemed to be in evaluation by the access-breaker unit, and some that appeared to have already been uploaded by Cal.

The next few databases seemed to be a conspiracy theorist's wet dream. Anything that pointed to big global conspiracies, regardless of what shadow agency you believed in, seemed to have at least SOME data stored here. These were, notably, the largest of the data collections.

The other databases were more heavily encrypted and probably would tip Cal off if she pushed her way into them.

Ashlie skims through the conspiracy theories, which takes her about a second, then copies everything she found pertaining to Cal's staff to go along with the data she pulled from the project itself, clears up the log files and leaves.
