[Brigid Plunder]

"What am I being vindictive about? I haven't done anything!"

[Haley Crusek]

"You've treated me like shit ever since you head butted me!" she yelled.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Hey hey hey, calm down. And you certainly seem like you're harboring a grudge, Brigid. Granted it seems like it doesn't take much to have emotions boil over a little, hmm?" she adds with a look at Haley.

[Brigid Plunder]

"I've tried to get past that, but it's not like she'll let me!"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley sat there fuming, her arms crossed, and saying nothing, the bowl of oranges on Nailah's desk rattling.

"Haven't tried very hard," she finally mustered. "Still get mad at me for things I can't help. Don't stop your friends from calling me psycho."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Okay she's not responsible for what her friends do, Haley. What you two need to realize is that no one is doing anything on purpose here. Haley, you lose control of you telekinesis when you're upset and Brigid, from what I understand you constantly have to ignore how whatever you pick up can be best used to hurt people. That's a lot of stress on both of you but you have to acknowledge that neither has it much better here instead of accusing the other."

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid gave Nailah a look of shock.

"...did you have to tell her that?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"She just admitted that she's a telepath, something she had asked to be kept hidden as well."

[Haley Crusek]

"I won't tell anyone..." she said quietly.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well if you can read my thoughts, you probably know why I got so mad that Kay's comics got out, right?"

[Haley Crusek]

"Sort of. I mean...sometimes you dream about that stuff, and I don't really see why you're like...embarrassed about it. I feel the feelings but I don't know why you have them... And it was just a comic. People probably don't know it's real...ish."

Haley sighed. "I'm sorry that I showed cal the notebook. I should have just returned it when I found it....and like I said...I'll...deal with that with Kay and the teachers on our own."

"I just. I dunno. I want to be at least able to coexist with you and know that we're not going to try and smother each other while we sleep."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well okay, if you know about my powers... you might as well know about this."

"I'm... not really from anywhere near here. Like... really."

[Haley Crusek]

"Wait...the dreams are real? Like. You bringing Alex home to meet your parents and there's really...dinosaurs?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"My... dad's kind of the king of the Savage Land."

She looked down at the floor, embarrassed.

[Haley Crusek]

"...where there are dinosaurs?" she asked.

[Brigid Plunder]

"...yes. It's...er... kind of full of them."

[Haley Crusek]

"That's...actually really cool. I mean. Crazy. But...well magic is apparently real so dinosaurs aren't that unbelievable I guess."

"I won't tell anyone that either. I...can tell it does bother you."

Haley chewed her lip a bit. "I'm tired of fighting. Of screaming. Of getting angry and losing control. I...we don't need to be friends or anything if you don't want to but can we like...just. Call it all even? You're a cool girl Brigid, and...I'm tired of having everyone hate me. I lost all my friends back home and I don't want to feel like I'll never have anyone see me as anything but the crazy psychic girl."

Haley sniffled, trying not to cry.

[Brigid Plunder]

"I'm not cool. Really I'm not. Most of what I know about being a normal teenager is stuff I picked up from dumb movies. I'm not even that good at faking it."

"So... I know a bit about being worried everyone will think you're a freak, Haley."

"If you want a clean slate I can do that, it's just... it's got to stop, yeah?"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley nodded, crying but smiling a little bit. "No more. I'm tired of fighting with you. I try to be as quiet as I can when I wake up in the middle of the night and...and I'll deal with the comic stuff and Kay.

[Brigid Plunder]

"And I'll try to be less hard on you, okay?"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley sniffled, wiping her face with the back of her hand. "Okay," she smiled lightly.

[Nailah Weaver]

"There you go then." Nailah smiles.
