Common Room - Surveying the Damage

[Kay Haddock]

Kay is sitting on the couch in the corner, netbook in her lap and finally getting around to looking at the blog. After having done her best to tell herself that it's no big deal that everyone saw her last name in the email that went out.

[Aisha Khan]

"Hi, Kay." Aisha said. This time, she wasn't strobing, she'd stay visible for a few minutes before vanishing, and stay invisible for a few minutes until she was visible again.

[Kay Haddock]

"Oh. Hey Aisha..." she says, wondering if she should regret not hiding in her room.

[Aisha Khan]

"I thought the comic was really good." Aisha said "I'm sorry you got so much crap for it. I thought it was really cool."

[Kay Haddock]

"Thanks... I just, dunno, I thought people would laugh and Brigid would hate it. Which she probably does."

[Aisha Khan]

"I don't think Brigid was super-happy, but everyone thought it was a really cool comic. Seriously, did you read any of the comments? Everyone loves the art, and the story is so cool. You're really creative-especially imagining Brigid as some sort of Savage Land Princess."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah... right." she chuckles nervously. "I guess it's not entirely terrible." she says, trying to ignore the occasional comment that seems to have popped up that's making fun of her. Or worse, pointing out making up something about having a crush.

[Aisha Khan]

"It isn't terrible." Aisha said "Its really awesome. Even if you didn't put it out there on purpose, you should leave it up. I mean, it isn't like the internet is full of positive stuff about mutants."

[Kay Haddock]

"That's true... I'd have to ask the people who are in it though."

[Aisha Khan]

"I'm sure if you asked, they'd be cool with it.

[Kay Haddock]

"Maybe. Ever since headbutting Haley Brigid's been a little touchy about seeming... uhm... savage?"

[Aisha Khan]

"Yeah, that totally makes sense." Aisha said "But still, being the star of a comic would be totally cool."

[Kay Haddock]

"I could put more people in if they want to..."

[Aisha Khan]

"Could you put me in it ?!?" Aisha exclaimed "I don't want to be pushy, but that would be, like, the most super awesome thing ever."

[Kay Haddock]

"Sure! You're really easy to draw half the time too." she jokes.

[Aisha Khan]

Aisha was so wrapped up in fangirling that she actually giggled "I can be in all the ones you draw when you're in a hurry. I'll just be a text bubble."

[Kay Haddock]

Kay looks very relieved that Aisha didn't take it the wrong way.

"Yeah, make it all mysterious how you actually look before a big reveal!"

[Aisha Khan]

"Oh, yeah." Aisha said "That would be totally awesome."

[Kay Haddock]

"Now we'll just have to convince Brigid. Maybe she'll like it better when there's more people in it."

[Aisha Khan]

"I don't really know her, but I'd talk to her."

[Kay Haddock]

"Well I promised her I'd get it taken down somehow, so if that's what she wants that's what I'll do, but hearing from someone else that it's cool and that people wanna be in it..." she smiles faintly.

[Aisha Khan]

"Yeah, maybe it'll help her see that its a cool thing."

[Kay Haddock]

"I still can't believe people actually like my stupid comics..." she chuckles faintly.

[Aisha Khan]

"You shouldn't be." Aisha said "They're awesome."

[Kay Haddock]

She blushes faintly. "Well even if I can't keep that comic up maybe I'll do something."

[Aisha Khan]

"You could always do a different comic." Aisha said "I bet you've got lots of awesome ideas."

[Kay Haddock]

"Maybe... I'll see how it goes."

[Aisha Khan]

"Anyway, if you need help, just let me know."

[Kay Haddock]

"I will. Thanks!"
