Sam's Office - Headaches

[Samantha McManus]

"If that's the way you want it to be. You've got the potential for that, Haley."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley seemed to give that a lot of thought.

"Still kinda hard to picture that...that would be amazing though. To...be able to do all the stuff I do, but not have all of the crap that I deal with now..."

"So...there's counselors and stuff who can help me like...work through normal shi...stuff. Is there like...anyone I can come talk to more...one on one about power stuff? I like PC and stuff, but...I dunno. Neither Mr. Gabriel or Ms. Kaltiera seem to really know much about the...brain stuff."

"That would be where I come in."

"Though I understand you've been looking for... tips on the side, aye?"

[Haley Crusek]

Haley whitened, "I...."

You're not gonna fool her with anything...

"...yeah. It...well his help is the only thing that's kept me sane this year with all of the crazy stuff that's going on. On a good day, because I got help I can like. Actually NOT hear everything everyone is thinking. For one, like, he and you actually shield what you're thinking about, and...well maybe that's why I get along with Cal so well. I have to like. Really try hard to hear what he's thinking."

"I...look...I, I know he wasn't supposed to do anything, but he like. I was kinda freaking out and he just helped, and I think that shows he's like. A good person, you know?"

[Samantha McManus]

"He's a little uncomfortable with the position you put him in, Haley."

[Haley Crusek]

"He was only helping because I needed it and asked him. I'm sorry," she said, hanging her head a bit.

[Samantha McManus]

"There's no shame in asking for help, I'd just much more prefer you go through official channels. I think he would, as well."

[Haley Crusek]

"Okay," she said, with some hesitation. "Well...help. Please. I want to keep getting better."

[Samantha McManus]

"What would you say to meeting weekly?"

[Haley Crusek]

"That would be great," she said, a small smile finally crossing her face.

She's not so bad after all...

"If you've got enough time to help me every week that would be really really good."

[Samantha McManus]

"I certainly think that can be arranged."

"Now, I'm afraid we do have to discuss a punishment regarding what happened with Miss Rourke."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley's spirits sunk again.

damnit...

"Okay..." She said sullenly.

[Samantha McManus]

"You're quite lucky that Miss Rourke seems to be sticking up for you here."

"Still, something does have to be done."

"The grounds crew has needed a bit of help lately. I think an hour of raking tomorrow afternoon should be more than enough, aye?"

[Haley Crusek]

"Yes ma'am," she said respectfully.

[Samantha McManus]

"Alright, then. Is there anything else you'd like to ask me for now?"

[Haley Crusek]

"If things don't get better, can I get a new roommate?"

[Samantha McManus]

"Are things really that unworkable?"

[Haley Crusek]

"Seems like it now. But maybe it could get better. S'why I asked if things don't get better."

[Samantha McManus]

"Well keep me posted, aye?"

[Haley Crusek]

"I will. Thank you," she said politely. "Did you need to talk to me about anything else?"

[Samantha McManus]

"I think that's all for now."

[Haley Crusek]

"Okay. Thanks Professor. I'll see you in a week. I'll email you or something and we can figure out a time," she said quietly before heading out.
