Haley stood up, screaming, and the papers from desks near her blew as if pulled into a tornado before a blast of raw, angry psionic energy slammed into Regan, sending unoccupied desks in its way tumbling onto their sides and backs.

The blast hit Regan hard, managing to send her head over heels across the room. Every molecule in her body screamed out in pain as her makeshift conciousness was disrupted by the psionic energy. It was a feeling not entirely unlike dying. A brief instant of dark nothing that lasted forever. For a moment, Regan sunk to the floor, not moving. Ghostly tendrils of mist curled around her form.
