[Sara's Lab] F'n Wills, How Do They Work?

Built with a generous grant from one of the University's benefactors, this clinic serves both the University and the incoming students of the Institute. More severe injuries are stabilized here first, then medevaced to nearby Muir Island.

"Will! Are you okay? What's wrong?" she says, hitting the emergency shutdown button before rushing to the machine.

Clumps of clay stuck to the side and top of the machine, apparently having been ripped out by the sheer force of the magnetism. The metallic nodes themselves had remained bonded to the clay -- but they had tugged large chunks of it right out of Will, who lay there panting and groaning, full of holes.

"Ohgodohgodohgod! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Will!" she says, manually pulling the bench out of the machine.

She reaches into the machine and grabs one of the lumps of clay, putting it back into Will. "I'm sorry... I just wanted to make you well..."

"No more magnets. Got it." she says, continuing to pack clay back into the holes like she was trying to put humpty-dumpty back together.

"What...what the hell happened?" Will groaned.

To Sara's relief, the clay seemed to be re-absorbing just fine.

"No idea... They'd still have to stick somehow. And if you try to remove them bit by bit they'd just replicate themselves."
