Haley seemed to very seriously consider Regan's point as Cal walked in, she reddened visibly.

"I...no. I'm not crazy, damnit. Regan, you've gotta be real.... Cal? Can...can *you* see Regan?" she gestured towards the new girl.

One of the things he'd see would be Ashlie's hair changing colour. To... well that depends on what color his system would assign that partiicular wavelength. It seems her arbitrary choice of hair-color was a little too arbitrary for human perception.

"She doesn't believe," Regan says, "According to that guy who talks to ghosts on television, you have to believe or you can't contact the dead. And I'm pretty sure he knows everything about ghosts ever."

Calvin would start getting readings back from Regan quickly. A lot of them were hard to understand, confusing, and flat out contradictory. Whatever Regan was made of, scanners did not like it.

He packaged up the wavelengths that, weird as the readings were, he could detect Regan on, and sent them along with the broadcast that he hoped Ashlie could pick up.

She recieves the data, though now she finds herself faced with having to adjust her hard-light construct, taking up considerable processing power so she just stares blankly at the wall for a moment.

Ashlie blinks and Regan (being as close as she is) would probably notice something subtly shifting in Ashlie's eyes. Like a short optical distortion. Then they seem to focus on her.

"There you are." she smiles politely. Then raises a finger to poke Regan in the forehead testingly.

Cal's phone beeped, and he didn't bother picking it up to look at it. He looked over at Haley, something even... more mechanical in those eyes than usual when combined with the mute expression he wore... then he just looked away.
