Madrox stepped out onto the dance floor and looked around.

After getting inside, Marcus went right for the bar. He ordered a glass of water for now then headed back to the main area. He spotted Sara on the way and decided to take a seat next to hear.

"So, it sucks! I was kinda hoping you and Will would be on my team."

While Ryan might not have been aware of everything around him like Anita was, he was still an excellent dancer. He let her pull him right up close and danced against her, his body just barely brushing against hers with a very practiced control over all of his movements. His dancing was graceful, which might be surprising for someone with giant wings on his back. But they seemed to move with him, years of dance classes having taught him to incorporate his wings into his movements just like a normal person included their arms. There wasn't a single awkward movement from him, even as he slid his arms around her waist thier movements just seemed to flow together.

"Yeah, I saw. Too bad, but I guess they tried to even things out. But let me know how that combo turns out 'on the clock'"
Eyeing the glass of water she pushes herself up.
"That's a good idea, by the way. I'll be back in a jiffy."

She makes a wiggly line towards the bar and comes back a few minutes later with a beer in her hand, letting herself fall back into the seat. "Gotta make that music acceptable somehow." She smirks and takes a draught from her beer.

She hops on the bus with the others, making small talk along the way. At the club she shrugs out of her coat, joining the "non-cover-paying" group of girls. Her first stop is the bar, grabbing a martini and fumbling through the unfamiliar currency to pay.

Anita grins and matches her movements to Ryan, almost as if she can anticipate every movement. The result is that the two of them can dance essentialy touching. Anita's face is glowing (not literally) with pleasure.

Drink in hand, she heads over to Marcus and Sarah, perching on the edge of a stool and taking a sip, "Whoo.. that's dry."

Ryan's wings curled aroud them, held out about a foot or so, just to keep them from getting knocked while they were dancing. Every so often, they'd give a little half-flap, just to keep the air from getting stuffy. Anita was an amazing dance partner, but he decided he'd wait until they took a break to say so.

A mischievious smirk coming onto his lips, he brushed his fingertips very lightly up the side of her neck, the movement seeming to fit very naturally into his dancing.

"Not paticularly, no. I usually like anything that's a bit more melodic and not quite as 'in your face' I used to listen to alot of Punk a few years ago, but oday it's mostly rock and pop."

Anita makes a soft sound of pleasure and runs her hands lightly over Ryan's chest. She seems to know exactly what will feel good.

Anita and Ryan are getting a fair amount of attention now, both from Ryan's obvious mutation, and the sheer closeness of their dancing, which implies a hell of a lot of skill.

Ryan, on the other hand, was no slouch either when it came to knowing what would feel good. His knowledge, though, came from lots and lots of practice. So every so often, he'd brush his fingers across some point of bare skin that he knew would elicit a shiver or a moan from his partner. Then, doing his best not to smirk, he slid his wing along her, brushing feathers up the back of her legs.

This wasn't to say, of course, that all of his focus was on teasing Anita. Ryan seemed to take the dancing very seriously, and he was extremely good at it. But, as some people might say, dancing is sometimes just an elaborate form of seduction. Nothing he did seemed blatant, all of it seemed natural with the dance.

"Yeah. Investigation doesn't seem like it's too crazy unless you're gonna be so deep under cover your mind starts to mess with you." He chuckled. "Like in those police movies." A big grin eased in over his face at Zoe's question. "Yeah, you could say that."

"Very true. Unless there's a shape-shifter in the group." He honestly, never really thought about Rick being a leader. "I know he trained on the X-teams back at home for awhile. He has the experience for it. I think he'd be a good one." He managed to get out before Rick's arrival.

He grinned when Rick reached them. "Hey Rick."

Anita lets that go on for quite a while, but eventually the sensations multiply too much, and she kisses Ryan on the ear then whispers. "Got to go to the bar for a bit."

Taking his hand, she weaves through the crowd without a single person bumping into her, headed for the bar with a flushed, rosy glow over her face and even her neck.

Ryan let himself be led from the dance floor, and when they got to the bar, he ordered a drink, then waited for Anita to order hers before dropping the cash down for both of them. "Sorry," he said with a smile that didn't look sorry at all, "Was that too much?"

Anita has no problem letting someone pay for her drink, which is a fruity martini thing. She snuggles her back up against Ryan and sips the drink, sighing happily, still pretty giddy from the physical sensation. "No, I think it was just right."

It looked, for a moment, like the lights from the dance floor were dancing across Victoria's pale skin. On closer examination, though, her skin was just changing color to make it look like that.
