Here the symbols on the walls and door are composed of cuts and scratches, as if their artist began with a razor bade and finished with nothing but his or her fingernails. A leather-bound book rests on the nightstand.

The book is a simple brown leather journal, tied with a leather strap. The only marking on the cover is the letter W.
