"Well okay, I tell people that my power is knowing how to use something when I pick it up. That's... true, for what it's worth."

"What I usually don't mention is that my power is knowing how to hurt people with what I'm holding. It's not that I have an instinct for weapons, it's that... pretty much anything I grab gets interpreted as a weapon by my power."

"My brother and parents think it's great. I mean, they see it as me being able to defend myself with anything I can get my hands on."

"I don't think it's so cool, you know?"

"I know. Believe me, I do," he answered, significantly less jovial than earlier. "My own power is... quite conducive to hurting people. When it first activated I very nearly cut another kids arm off. For quite a while after that I was terrified of what I might do the next time it acted up."

"Completely safetied, I promise."
