I10DT - This always works in the movies.

Postby Brigid Plunder » Wed Apr 25, 2012 10:55 pm

Brigid took a deep breath, and stepped out onto the grounds. Her clothing was... anything but baggy. To Victoria's credit she didn't look remotely like a streetwalker, but hips were certainly hugged and... other attributes emphasized.

Brigid meanwhile tried to look confident rather than self-conscious.

Alex stretched as he walked out into the grounds, still with his mind mixed up about things. Granted, that was not helped when it was mixed up even more when he caught sight of Brigid. Wow. I... wow.

Tommy was milling about outside as well, not doing anything really of note.

He was turned away for now, but his wizard hat was unmistakeable.

Alright, now just walk... the heels aren't that high, you've got good balance, the only thing is to make it not look dorky...

With a long-legged stride, she headed down the path nonchalantly.

Alex took a few minutes to watch her walk and... appreciate it, before his brain snapped back into gear and he remembered that he had no idea what he was going to do about... well, anything. Shit, he thought as he watched her get closer... and rather enjoyed watching her get closer...

"Oh, hey there, Alex," she said in what she hoped was a casual tone as she neared, a slight smile on her lips.

In Alex's head, a little thought of just... forgetting everything that had happened pranced into his mind and started kicking all the nagging thoughts out of his head with stiletto-heeled feet. "Hi, Brigid," he said, what he hoped was a cool, casual smile on his face.

Okay, made contact... what do I talk about? Er... not headbutting Haley.

"Nice day for a walk, isn't it?"

"Yeah, it is. I..." And as Alex tried to think of what to talk about, things went on exactly the same tangent as Brigid's mind. "...have to go," he said, starting back for the building. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid...

"Yeah, well, maybe I do," he said. "I've got a lot to think about since yesterday." Maybe a little assholish, but probably a little deserved.

Her expression fell.

"...well alright then."

"I guess I'll... see you around."

Alex stopped, not looking back yet, and took a deep breath. For god's sake, is there any option here that doesn't make me feel like an asshole? "Okay, seriously," he said, turning around. "What am I supposed to do here?"

"I..." Oh for god's sake, this isn't THAT much my fault... "Fine. We're going to play it that way? Fine," he said, turning back toward the building.

He frowned a minute, and tried to keep his mind on the subject at hand and off of her hips. "So why did you headbutt her, then?"

"...Oh." He rubbed at his eyes, a million thoughts flying through his head, all of them vying for his attention and approval, none of them making any more sense than the others. "I don't know. I'd better go."

Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit... Frustrated, and feeling that frustration building like a physical pressure inside him, Alex punched a tree as he passed it.

And, a blue glow flaring around his fist, he punched a good-sized chunk out of it, making him stop and gape at it. The fuck?

"I don't know I just..." With a frustrated sound Alex just leaned back against the tree, resisting the urge to bang his head back against it for fear of breaking it even more.

"God, what the hell is it going to matter," he muttered. "I'm doing shit and not remembering why I did it the next day, getting people into fights in the cafeteria, getting people in trouble when stupid god-things are attacking the school... I just don't know what to do next that isn't going to just make everything worse."

Alex gave Brigid a 'don't bullshit me' look. "So without me, that would still have happened," he said dryly.

"Exactly! So what the hell am I supposed to do, do something else and get other people hurt?" It seemed... at least very likely that he wasn't aiming this as an accusation at Brigid, more of a general anxiety.
