Alyson was in the gym, beating the crap out of an innocent punching bag.

[Claire McKenna]

Claire walks in, dressed for her regular work out. She grins at Aly.

"Might want to hit it again. I heard it say something nasty about your mother earlier."

"And no one disses my Mama." Aly said, punching the bag again.

[Claire McKenna]

Claire claps, "A hit! A very palpable hit!"

[Alyson Gregory]

"I'm Aly." she said, as she hi the bag again.

"Claire," Claire says, putting gloves on before starting to stretch.

"Alyson."

[Claire McKenna]

"So nice, I met you twice," Claire says with a grin.

[Alyson Gregory]

"Oh, yeah." Alyson said "Sorry, I'm kinda distracted."

[Claire McKenna]

"What's up?" Claire asks, stepping onto the treadmill and starting out at an easy pace.

[Alyson Gregory]

"Wedding plans." Alyson said grimly.

[Claire McKenna]

"No offense, but shouldn't that be happy fun times?" Claire asks.

[Alyson Gregory]

"I love my fiancee, and I want to be married to her more than anything. The wedding on the other hand..." she hit the punching bag.

[Claire McKenna]

"Then why bother? Just elope somewhere or something like that."

[Alyson Gregory]

"It makes her happy to have a nice wedding, and my dad would kill me if I didn't."

[Claire McKenna]

Claire snorts, "Doing things for you fiancee? That's fine. Though he sounds like a bit of a wuss. But you shouldn't bother trying to impress your parents. Trust me."

[Alyson Gregory]

"She, and not 'impress', 'make happy."

[Claire McKenna]

Claire winces, "Oh."

"...Sorry."

[Amanda Weinrich]

"Its ok." Aly replied "It was the statistically likely guess."

[Claire McKenna]

"Still was dumb of me," Claire says, looking uncomfortable, "I guess if there's one thing I know how to do right it's putting my foot in my mouth."
