Because of this, Claire's body seems to be immune to the effects of high heat. However, exposure to intense cold seems to have quicker negative effects on her then on most people.

Description: Claire has short red hair and green eyes. She's slightly taller then the average student and tends towards gender neutral fashions.

Background: Claire was born to a high class family in New York City. With her unique biology, her parents knew that she was a mutant from an early age. They chose to try to keep her hidden from the world.

Claire grew up being homeschooled and rarely allowed to leave her house. Her parents weren't unkind to her. In fact, they tried to give her everything that she wanted. But they were scared of what would happen to their daughter if she were exposed to a world that seemed to hate her kind.

When she was 16, someone from Xavier's School came to talk to her parents about putting her in the Institute. They refused.

A few weeks later she ran away from home. She went to the Institute to study. Her parents confronted the teachers there, but they were convinced that it was what she wanted.

When she graduated, Claire came to the Xavier's University to study nursing and intern in their infirmary.
