Mike got up and went over to his fridge, getting a bottle of water out for her, then walked back over, taking a seat in the air. "It'll be all right," he said. "Just kind of surprising, I didn't know you... you know, liked women."

"Not as much anymore, I guess. But when there's a lot of people thinking something very strong at you, especially when it's about you? Get's... really weird. It's not so bad when it's just one person, especially if you know them, but... well, it's complicated, I guess."

"Yeah, but you have distractions that you have to get over first," Mike said. "She told me that the more side-effects that you get from your telepathy, the longer it takes to start using it. And... well, you've sort of got a pretty big side effect," he added, a bit appologetically.

"They're jealous," Mike said. "Do you know just how many people here have absolutely no idea who they are? Being able to be someone else... well, what they think someone else is, really, seems like a dream come true. Easier than figuring out who they are and maybe not liking what they figure out."
