I8: Relaxing

After a brisk workout in the pool, Zero headed to the hot tub to soak and relax for a bit.

It'd been a long and confusing adventure that wasn't worth mentioning. But she finally was finished traveling around the world and getting into mischief. And it was good to be home.

Trev wandered into the rec center a while after dinner, impressed with the place's hours, equipment, and once again finding himself asking why he didn't come here in the first place. After debating what he wanted to do, he opted for lazing around in a hot tub. He changed into swim trunks, practiced the usual "suck in the beer gut" maneuver in the mirror once or twice, and walked into the pool room. He was rather surprised to see anyone else here with as late as he'd come, so he tentatively stepped to the edge of the hot tub and cleared his throat.

"Hey...mind some company in the hot tub?" he asked a bit shyly.

Zero looks Trev up and down for a moment before grinning, "Not at all. It would be a pleasure."

"Cool," he smiled, stepping into the hot tub and easing himself down into the water. "Oh man...this feels awesome. I'm Trev," he said, extending his hand above the surface of the water towards Zero.

"Yes. One of my three roommates pissed on my laptop. Another tried to jump me outside of a bar I'd snuck into. And the final one stole shit from me constantly. It was enough to make me want to scream and beat the shit out of everyone. And me screaming is...inadvisable," he smirked.

"You could say that. I'm more of a geek who just really enjoys watching sports. I couldn't explain much beyond very basic rules in anything but baseball. And playing sports? Golf's about all I can handle. Anything else is just damn comical."

"I went to school with a girl who'd make a hellofa pitcher. Her power's superhuman accuracy. It's damn impressive. I suppose I'd make a decent football ref if I knew any of the details of the rules."

Trev made up a few referee hand signals while he amplified his voice so it would echo pretty impressively in the pool. "Holding. On the offense. 15 yard penalty."
