Powers: Nate is a feral wolf shifter with white fur, capable of assuming a half form about normal human size or a normal-sized wolf. While shifted, he possesses heightened senses and a just-barely-superhuman degree of agility. His other ability is a telepathic ability to cause people to ignore his presence or refuse to see him. This ability is strongest when he's shifted, but he retains both it and his heightened senses when he's in his normal human form. His "ghosting" ability tends to slip past mental defenses unless someone's specifically looking for him or psychically sweeping for him and then he becomes immediately obvious.

Nate has had a lot of physical and hand-to-hand combat training. His mutation has also given him experience in astral combat, even if he isn't a full telepath.

Personality: Nate is usually a fairly genial individual. When his family's safety is in question though, he doesn't take any chances and during those times it can be very hard to get along with him.

Description: Nate in human form is about 5'8" and of athletic build. He obviously works out somewhat religiously. His dark hair is peppering with bits of white-grey, including a grey patch in the chin of his beard. His eyes are yellow-flecked blue. Unless he's making a business presentation, he's always dressed in t-shirts and jeans.

Before his mutation changed, Nate was capable of shifting into a massive black-furred half-form, a large black-furred wolf, and a normal size black-furred wolf. Anyone familiar with him from his X-Men days may still think of him in that light, even though he's no longer capable of much of that.

Background: Nate was taken to Xavier's Institute shortly after his power first manifested. He spent a year in isolation before he was allowed to join the student population. While there, he met and married Keahi Nimar. They have three children: Logan (currently on an X-Team under the codename Cougar), Tala (currently attending XU), and Colin (preparing to attend the Institute's high school program).

Nate became a history teacher at XI and a mentor to the student teams there. After a close encounter with a Sentinel and a large explosion left him radically altered and without his memory, Nate found himself working for a government agency bent on enforcing mutant registration on a grand scale. With the help of Sam and some of his classmates, he managed to come back and rebuild his life. Now he works directly for X-Corp as a security consultant and has something of an "open-ended job description" as he describes it.
