"Oh, no, of course not," Becca said. Which felt like a lie. "Don't worry about me, it... doesn't matter." Which, oddly, felt like the truth.

"Well I'm sorry anyway." she says, figuring that calling Becca out on her lie would only makes things worse. "I didn't mean to upset you or anything..."

For a moment she considers sitting down next to the girl but she's afraid she'd accidentally step on her toes or something. Literally, seeing how she has no clue where exactly the girl is.

"Oh..." she looks over to to Sam, not having expected the change of topic. In fact, she hadn't even been thinking or worrying about her wings and tail for a bit there, which is a weird new thought that's distracting all by itself.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure what for... They're not good for much..." It takes her some convincing herself but after a moment she spreads her wings that are mostly just plumes still.

"Maybe they're still growing? That's always the sort of thing they try to tell us about our powers, here. That we'll grow into them or something. I don't know how much stock I put in that, though."
