"Yes, yes, never makes a mistake, everything goes how she wants it, whatever rubbish you want to believe, that's fine. Now...on to facts, the things that actually bleeding matter. Watch as all these birds converge... right there." He pointed to the point in an alleyway where all the bird-dots came together. "Now... at that point, we picked up a surge of spacial-temporal energy, just like when Dr. Bloody Tomorrow was causing all his problems. After that, no sign of your Headmistress, or her twin girlfriends."

"Now, as you all may remember, we worked very bloody hard to make sure that no more of these blasted rifts were going to be popping up on their own."

"You think this one was made deliberately?" Jubilee asked.

"So somebody from the other side figured out how to open what appear to be stable interdimensional tunnels," Renko said.

I've got good news and bad news. I7DT

"Have we determined where the three terrorists entered our world? This same portal, or another one? Have we managed to get any information out of the surviving one, for that matter? " Stephanie asked.

"That would be a 'need to know' question... as in we really, really need to know it. And when we know it, you'll know it. Until then, we're going to be scanning for more of the spacial-temporal anomalies, and when we find one, you lot are going to be investigating. 'Til then, you keep your bloody eyes open, and don't do anything bloody stupid like picking some evil clone of your friend from the bar and letting them shag you unconscious and drag you back with them."

"Sir?" Will said, raising his hand...then lowering it, realizing it made him look a BIT of an idiot.

"I can answer some of that...These three were apparently out and about, coming through due to Dr. Tomorrow's incidents--they've made an attack on campus before which, for the benefit of Mr. Rede and I, were not talked about too much on a public matter.

I have no idea if that information was passed along anywhere, as I was sort of in a blimp at the time."

"Thank you, with an entire country's intelligence resources at my disposal, I'd be completely lost without current events updates from someone who can't read a bloody box of prophylactics. Now, as I was bloody saying, you will keep yourselves on guard, you will watch for more of these pikers, and you will not do anything to create a bloody public panic. Have I made myself utterly clear?" He looked around, and seeing no dissenters, clicked off the display. "Mission data will come when a mission is in the works. Until then, you're all dismissed."

"That does include any data you've gotten from studying the portal site, right" Renko asked as he stood up.

"Pity, I was looking forward to more patronizing," Lora muttered quietly just so Gideon could hear, rolling his eyes as she stood and headed for the door.
