If the X-Men were expecting for Simon to tumble across the tarmac into an unconscious heap they were going to be sorely disappointed. The incredibly agile man rolled in a somersault before running on his hands and feet like an animal, leaping onto the back of a courier van before jumping from vehicle to vehicle in his efforts to get back to the APC.

Boy, that hatch sure was on there tight! The paint peeled off from the heat due to Aiden's efforts but the thing looked pretty snug. Hopefully for Will he had managed to pull away from the hatch in time. As the sail started to have an effect and with the hatch still smoking it did pop open! And a henchman popped out of it! And he swung the heavy machine gun to bear on the dragon! Oh wait, that wasn't a good thing. The gun roared to life, spitting red hot metal at the flying beast, it's passenger, and the goo-sail behind it the vehicle. The APC was drawing close to the Thames before it made another sharp right, merging roughly onto the M4 near Gunnersbury Park and heading east. In the distance, aircraft could be seen taking off from Heathrow Airport.

The bullets would bounce off the sail thingy. That wasn't the smartest thing anyone had ever done....and Will used his arms to propel himself forward, crashing into the mook at high speed.

Guy turned as he floated down, de-phasing in time to land mid-stride. And, oh yeah, he had lifted Simon's gun. Simon would also find that any electronic devices on his person were now scrambled.

Sparks flew as bullets bounced of Aiden's scales. He looked little and less perturbed by the bullets.

"Gnats," Aiden growled while flying alongside the APC and exhaled a gout of flame at the tires of the vehicle.

Guy hid away the gun in his suit, went up to the first reasonably fast unoccupied car he could find with keys in it, and quietly phased inside before taking off.

The mook was crashed into, sending the machine gun spinning to the side as it still fired, the henchman's hand still pulling the trigger as he was dazed. It shot into the oncoming lane, first the side of a bus, then a couple of small hatchbacks that were right in front of a tractor trailer hauling a tank of what appeared to be petrol.

Aiden's fire breath ignited the tires, three of the four on that side flaming as the APC drove on. These were your usual off-the-rack wheels however, they were designed to deal with shrapnel and other hazards of war, the titanium netting inside keeping them from bursting. They weren't going to last forever but they didn't look like they were going to pop right away.

Almost as soon as Guy peeled out, the sound of sirens could be heard behind him. The two motorcycle cops from earlier had finally navigated through the bedlam of crashed cars to catch up with them. They drove right past Guy, more concerned with the armoured car at the moment than a simple car thief. When one of them got too close to Simon he leaped down from the top of a courier van, throwing the officer from the bike and taking control in a very swift and well-balanced motion. The officer's body rolled over the tarmac, yet another obstacle for Guy to swerve around as Simon peeled out, front wheel in the air.

Aiden exhaled again putting more into it. The fire went from yellow-orange, to blue, to white in his efforts to melt the tires.

Guy's newly acquired black coupe swerved around the officer with a level of skill few who knew him would expect, turned the corner with a screech of his tires, and accelerated.

Will's attack on the henchman caused the machine gun to tilt upward, narrowly missing the petrol tanker but certainly giving the driver something soft and warm to sit on. Inside the APC there were two heavily armoured mooks left guarding the princess, plus an additional two at the controls. The one sitting across from the princess had a shotgun pointed at her chest, the other raised at Will as the turret-operator's legs went slack and Will's gooey form seeped into the hatch.

Aiden's efforts were rewarded with a series out very loud bangs, the tires on the left side of the APC finally giving way and black smoke billowing from the side of the vehicle. It began swerving around erratically as the driver fought to keep it from overturning. And as Guy and Simon drew closer they would see the armoured vehicle punch through the cement and steel fencing of the M4 across the street from a Costcutter convenience store... and about three stories above the ground. The fences were designed to stop cars and light trucks, even tractor trailers, but this thing was a tank build to slam through almost any obstacle and it made a hole in the safety barrier that the designers should have taken great pride in. Concrete rained down onto the street and sidewalk below as the APC slammed nose-first into the tarmac, the remaining wheels bouncing the rear high before it continued forward on it's momentum. The APC tore through a stand of trees and into a parking lot where the rubble chewed up by the bare rims caught it and sent it rolling over and over on it's side, flipping over eight feet into the air before it crashed through the office windows of the GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical R&D building.

There was a little bit of a mess.

As the APC started bouncing, Will lunged, bullets be damned, at the princess, enveloping her in a rubber ball, bouncing around the APC, trying not to let her take any damage.

He cared less for the mooks.

Once the apc stopped rolling Aiden landed on top of it and did a very good impression of the jaws of life. He dug his claws in and began peeling the roof off to get to the passengers inside.

Princess Louise was relatively unscathed thanks to Will's quick thinking, though she was still unconscious from earlier. When Aiden ripped open the belly of the tank it would reveal that all four of the remaining henchmen were strapped in and unconscious, or worse. The fifth had been thrown from the vehicle during the crash and wouldn't ever be waking up.

Just as Guy was about to connect with Simon's cycle he dropped back out of sight. The motorcycle might not have been as fast or heavy as the car but it was much more nimble. In his rear view mirror Guy would be able to see Simon reach into his coat for his revolver before cursing, then crossing onto the other lane and putting other vehicles between himself and his pursuer in his effort to escape.

Will would quickly check the Princess' pulse, and administer any CPR needed or anything like that.

He would have to hope Chloe and Guy could stop the crazed biker.

Aiden nodded and picked up the princess as gently as he could. He cradled her form against his chest with one clawed hand.

"Fight well, Plasticine," Aiden said before beating his wings, and leaping into the sky.

"I do hope the news cameras catch this."

Guy then performed the most unspeakably reckless maneuver he could think of. He ramped over debris including a smashed sedan to leap across and cut off the bike.

The princess' pulse was weak and she had a gash on her forehead but all in all she was in pretty good shape all things considered. Will made an excellent airbag for her.

Guy's maneuver paid off when the police motorcycle rammed into the front fender, the rider and the cycle flipping over the hood and in front of the windscreen. Oddly, Simon was still holding on, his head so close to the hood that his hair brushed over the metal. The monkeyman shifted his weight, tail whipping around as he forced the police chopper to continue it's flip, landing hard on the rear tire and travelling several feet before falling onto both tires again.

"Damn, I hope the news cameras caught that."

Meanwhile, back at the stadium, rescue crews and anti-terrorist forces had made their way into the breached loading area. While securing the burned and surrendered henchmen they came across Rob's prone form and immediately called for the paramedics.

Daaaaaamn...

Guy hit reverse and agilely whipped around to continue pursuit, leaving dark tread marks on the street.

"Bloody hell I took the right car," he grinned, "A shame I have to return it really."

Due to the crash, Simon's motorcycle wasn't able to travel as quickly as it had before, though he was still going at a generous pace. From her vantage point Chloe would be able to see that he was heading for the tunnel which led to the Heathrow airport; if she cut across above ground she might be able to get there before him, or she could land on Guy's car and have a chance to regain her stamina.

Simon's cycle bounced and jerked as he was rear-ended through the security checkpoint, the guard quickly setting off the alarm. It wouldn't be long before other emergency vehicles would arrive to meet the trio. But it seemed like Simon wasn't especially worried about them catching him. The bike cut across one of the runways and headed in the direction of the hangers, an expensive looking Leer jet sitting near the runway, apparently prepped and ready to take off.

When Chloe entered the plane she'd see that is was very much what one would expect of such a craft. There were expensive leather seats with lots of legroom, plush carpets, alcohol at one's fingertips. The military-grade weapons crates were new though.

Guy's car bumped the rear of the motorcycle as it broke through the security checkpoint at the other end of the tunnel. The guards sounded the alarms ensuring that the response vehicles would be forthcoming. While Guy's car did have a lot more horsepower than the bike it was also a lot heavier, the two-wheeled vehicle pulling ahead as it cut across a runway. there was an explosion of shirts and pants as the motorcycle struck one of the trailers of a baggage carrier, several suitcases rupturing on impact and many more scattering in every direction. The motorcycle cartwheeled over the tarmac before twisting and breaking apart, sending metal shrapnel in all directions.

Simon meanwhile tumbled through the air gracefully with his tail whipping about, the man doing a quick flip before landing on the stairs positioned at the entrance to the jet's cabin. With a little salute to his pursuer and oblivious to the passenger he gave the mobile stairs a kick, sending them clattering violently away from the craft before he slammed the hatch shut.

"Take off, now!"

'But sir, we don't have clear-'

"I SAID NOW!"

The plane's engines began to whine as they powered up.

And Simon would be hit from behind by a grimly determined dinosaur. Knowing that she didn't have much time, Chloe sank her teeth into the back of his neck, as her front and back claws ripped at his flesh.

Guy cut the engine, slammed the brakes hard, and phased. He was propelled out and through the cockpit before floating to a landing and solidifying. He turned and waved at the pilot with a grin.

"Good luck taking off with scrambled circuits."

I do hope I didn't miss...

Simon let out a scream and fell forward through the cockpit door as he fought the keep the dinosaur at bay. Guy's efforts had the desired effect, scaring the daylights out of the pilot who tried to scramble out of his seat and get away from the mutant. Only to be slammed against the controls by Simon and rendered unconscious.

It should be noted that most aircraft do not operated completely by electronics as the risk of being struck by lightning in flight and having systems damaged is a very real one that the designers take very seriously. Usually the most basic and essential controls remain manual and analog. Controls like the throttle, pinned forward by Simon and Chloe's backs as he tried to fight her off, and the steering column, twisted left and taking the jet rolling across the grass, onto the runway and into the path of a Boeing 737 that was attempting to land.

The gun sounded like a cannon going off and for Guy it felt like it too; his hand would feel like he'd just punched a cement wall and the kickback was so great he'd have a hard time keeping the thing in his hands. But one shot was all it took to cause the two front tires of the jet to explode and push it along on it's rims with sparks flying, turning away from the runway. The sound of scraping metal was heightened with the front undercarriage snapped from the extra strain brought on by the resistance, the jet slamming it's nose down onto the sports car and crushing it.

When the plane tipped forward Simon was thrown back-first into the windows as they shattered. The pilot was sent tumbling out through the opening as Chloe was knocked loose, though all things considered the two were a lot better off than they could have been since it wasn't that far of a fall and as oddly as it sounds the car did break the impact a bit.

The sirens of fire engines and security vehicles started to grow louder as the plane's turbines started shutting down. It looked like Simon wasn't going anywhere. The explosive bolts on the plane's hatch blew off, the yellow ladder inflating automatically and flapping against the ground.

"You fuckin' idiots! I try to be nice, I try to be civil and you just have to go and ruin everything!" Simon appeared in the doorway, leaning against one side for support. His forehead was bleeding, one of his eyes was swollen shut and there was blood coming out of his mouth. His suit was absolutely ruined, blood soaked through the fabric everywhere and his shirt was untucked.

"And now a whole bunch of people are gonna have to die. And it's all your fault, heroes." In the crash, some of the military boxes must have slid forward because he weakly hefted a rather nasty looking grenade launcher, turning to point it at the emergency vehicles rushing toward them.

Simon clearly must have thought that Chloe was either unconscious or had fallen out with the pilot because her hit caught him totally off guard. He fell from the doorway of the plane and landed on the tarmac with a thud, motionless. Even his tail went limp. The grenade launcher fell to the ground with a clatter but thankfully the safety was still on.

And with rescue vehicles coming to a halt and their crews bailing out, the X-men had successfully collared one of the terrorist leaders.
