June 12th: Day of the Dragon

[Chloe Grant]

"Really, it was my fault." Chloe said "I got so angry, and then I changed and I just...I wasn't in control of myself at all. Its only natural you were frightened. I'm just thankful no one was hurt."

[Melody Martens]

"You...make a really terrifying dinosaur," she said quietly.

[Chloe Grant]

"I can't help it." Chloe said, embarrassed "I turn into a predator. Predators are scary."

[Melody Martens]

"...yeah," she said awkwardly.

"I know that I was out of line, though, and I'm really sorry. I just. I don't want to tell your or Derek what to do, or who to be friends with...but..could you just give each other some space for a while?"

".....For me?" she added meekly.

[Chloe Grant]

"Yeah, I can do that." Chloe said "But...I don't want to avoid him. Not entirely. Would it be ok if I talk to him. In public, and with no touching of course. I...he's my friend, and I don't want to hurt his feelings."

[Melody Martens]

It was pretty clear that Melody was trying very hard not to show how little she liked the thought of Chloe being anywhere near Derek. She seemed to at least be trying...

"That...fine," she said. "You're both adults, and I have no say over who the two of you talk to. Just. Please don't let yourselves get into a situation like that again...."

[Chloe Grant]

"Its ok." Chloe said "We were both in the wrong. It shan't happen again."

[Aiden Mitchell]

"I think you are supposed to hug, laugh, and buy drinks now," Aiden rumbled

[Melody Martens]

Melody laughed nervously at the suggestion from the gigantic dragon.

[Chloe Grant]

"I suppose we could." Chloe said "But don't let him intimidate you." she added.

[Melody Martens]

"Me? No, no, no, I'm not intimidated," she lied. Poorly.

"We should though...I...you and Derek are friends, and I'd like to at least be civil with each other, if not friends outright," she smiled cordially.

It was probably a good thing that her nose didn't grow with lies she told. Though that one was significantly better than the first. In fact it was downright believable.

[Chloe Grant]

"Yeah." Chloe said "Id like that. I know, maybe you and Derek could go with Simon and I on a double date."

[Melody Martens]

That actually sounded somewhat more palatable. Chloe'd be guaranteed to be on good behavior with HER boyfriend there, and they'd all have people there to keep each other distracted and on good behavior. A smile crept across her face.

"Yeah. I think that'd be a lot of fun."

[Chloe Grant]

"Excellent." Chloe said "Drop me an email, and we'll figure out when and where."
